PLAYOFFS?!?!?

I didn't even realize that Dylan Lee had such a good season in AAA.

Has had some decent success throughout the minor leagues as well.

Another diamond in the rough discovered by AA?

He's the dude we picked up earlier this season from the Royals I think. But hasn't spent a day on our big league roster. Definitely a curious move.
not really. Pinch-runner is a much bigger deal in the playoffs. It makes sense. I’d like to see Pache but his stealing abilities are a bit sketchy.

Is Dylan Lee good? He got called up with Strider but I wasn't paying attention. Really wouldn't have guessed at him making a postseason roster though, because I have no idea who he is.

Gore is an interesting add. Perhaps the only pinch-runner specialist in the majors. He's got 40 SB in 77 PA... in 102 Games. AA figuring correctly these games are going to be low-scoring and close. One baserunner could be the difference in the late innings.

No Strider, Rich Rod or Martin is interesting. Gore is only for PH, guess AA thinks they'll be low scoring games and we'll need Gore for a PH late to steal a run.

White Sox offense has been hibernating for a bit now.

Going to be really interesting to see whether they choose to exercise Kimbrel's option to use him as a setup guy again - particularly since that experiment has gone so terribly. Sure is an awful lot of money to tie up in two RPs - even for a big-market club.

Not expecting AA to chase him by any stretch, but if Chicago doesn't keep him Martin and Tomlin coming off the books gets you halfway to what he would have made and Dayton and Camargo could be released to pay a chunk of Jackson and Matzek's raises. You could use the money they gave Smyly this season to cover the increases for Fried and Dansby. If he'd take a reasonable 2 year deal to "come back home" to finish things out, the pen is all but "fixed". Smith becomes the 8th inning guy, Jackson and Matzek handle the 7th, some combination of Rodriguez/Minter/Webb/Lee/potentially Diaz take the middle innings, and Touki replaces Tomlin since he'll be out of options.
