You would have both
If Contreras was still on the team we'd have a cheap vet as backup and Baldwin would have been traded already

I wouldn’t.
There's literally nothing you can base this on.If Contreras was still on the team we'd have a cheap vet as backup and Baldwin would have been traded already

Feel like the Brewers have the pen to dominate this post season. One would think a certain GM would have seen how important a lock down pen is in the post season yet he let it get to the point of dumpster diving and 50 year junk ballers.
This.AA has shown multiple times he's willing to go all in on the bullpen when necessary. Let's also not act like he didn't try to acquire the two guys who signed the biggest contracts for releivers this past offseason. And lucky for the Braves those deals fell through.

2021, AA ran the pen decisions.AA gave Snit loaded bullpens... but Snit still chose to use the bottom of the depth chart in high leverage.
The year we won the world series we did a lot of piggybacking and bullpen games.
We had arguably stronger pens after that season and Snit wasted them.
Remember 2023
Iglesias
Jimenez
Minter
Johnson
Lee
Yates
5 days of rest from game 162 to Game 1 of NLDS.
Off day between G1 and G2, and another between G2 and G3
That's 7 off days in a 10 day span with only 3 games played.
And Snit decides to use Tonkin, Chavez, and let Elder in to die against the Phillies while rested arms are in the pen. Snit was still trying to milk a few outs out of his starters on the road already down in the series, instead of just using his arms.
Front office should have never stopped micromanaging him.2021, AA ran the pen decisions.
Snit took over that in in 2022.
I think most of them want him traded but are a little delusional on his value. Now are they ready to admit that about shitty Alec Bohm?
Does he have much value. Basically 2 years of arb control. But he is not anything special. More over can the faillies afford to let him go. They have a lot of holes to fill and already a big payroll.I think most of them want him traded but are a little delusional on his value.
I agree he had a good pen that twit butchered. But he failed going into 2024 and especially going into 2025. And I don’t care that he almost did shit. He didn’t do shit and that is all that matters. I can say I almost won the lottery but at the end of the day I didn’t win the lottery.
Now he has a ton of work to do. I am not sure there are enough arms out there for him to buy. So yet again the team will most likely start with guys who are cast offs of other teams.
Last year he put up around 3 fWAR and I think some of them thought they could sell high and turn him into an actually valuable piece. But I don’t think the rest of the league bought it because he was definitely on the block this offseason. When Paredes+ were dealt for Tucker some of were mad that it wasn’t Bohm, somehow missing that Bohm just isn’t valuable.Does he have much value. Basically 2 years of arb control. He’s one of those guys that seems like he should be better but is just missing too many things to really be meaningful piece. His bat just isn’t good enough.Nothing special? Alec Bohm is terrible at baseball and I hope he spends his entire pathetic career in a Phillies uniform.
Yeah. He will overpay for relievers. Definitely a big focus for him.AA has shown multiple times he's willing to go all in on the bullpen when necessary.
