To end their curse, the Boston Red Sox had to come back from down 3-0 against a team from New York in the ALCS.

To end their curse, the Chicago Cubs will have to come back from down 3-0 against a team from New York in the NLCS.

AMIRITE?

True, but the fact that the Cubs "curse" is from a billy goat named "Murphy" while a guy named Murphy has had the hottest bat in this series may offset that.

It depends upon what his spreadsheet said.

He's done a certain move a couple of times that is a real puzzler. La Stella makes the last out pinch-hitting for the pitcher and then Maddon leaves him in and double-switches with a guy who will be up sooner next time through the order, which will require a pinch-hitter sooner. He made the same move with La Stella the other night and replaced Baez in the process, which weakens the team defensively at two positions and burns an extra player.

I hope the Braves can build a pitching staff like what the Mets have, with a bullpen similar to KC and a balanced line up similar to KC as well.

Now typically, I don't believe in curses on sports teams, but this makes you wonder.........................

It looks like the super genius Maddon is about to close the door on his season. It's what you get when you over manage. Running thru your bullpen is never a good thing.
