Race

There are certain groups of Africans that do quite well in American society.

Nigerian Americans for example.

https://medium.com/@joecarleton/why.... immigrant groups, including Asian-Americans.

Genetically they are more African than African-Americans.

It is also widely known that immigrants (and their first generation offspring) are special in various ways. They are a highly self-selected group.

I think someone interested in doing a study of racism would do well to compare second generation Nigerian Americans with other second generation groups (Koreans, Irish, etc) whose first generations are similar in various ways (education, etc). See how they compare in terms of income, education, incarceration, etc.

I suspect that second generation Americans of any race or ethnicity would outperform whites, blacks, and hispanics from families that have been here for several years. That suspicion is based on my belief that the primary problem of underperforming Americans is the culture they come from, not their skin color.

its all about personal responsibility.

Due to my mothers passing when I was young and my father having to work 15+ hours a day my 'adopted family' meant everything to me. My best friend had an older brother. This was a tremendous family that was middle to upper middle class.

My friend is super successful in construction while his older brother is a never ending **** up.

Its all about choices.

Cleveland’s baseball team has officially changed its name from the Cleveland Indians to the Cleveland Guardians amid a wide push for sports organizations to stop using racist team names.

The question I want to get at is if skin tone matters for immigrants (since presumably they are unburdened by historical racism and other forms of baggage that took place in the past but might continue to affect outcomes in present generations of native born Americans).

This summer's march looks like a disaster in the making.

I dont know what I find funnier, that Biden says theres no place in America for racism or that he talks down to anyone regarding race and morality. His lifes work has been fighting on the side of systemic racism. This guy is so retarded he worked hand in hand with Strom Thurman on "crime bills" and never stopped for a second to wonder why a notorious racist like Strom Thurman is such a big fan of it. Like if I introduced a crime bill and David Duke was its biggest fan I would start to second guess wtf I was doing.

As for morality someone should ask Joe which position on civil rights he championed BEFORE it became politically toxic to be against it. It was desegregated schools. It wasnt gay marriage. It sure as hell isnt marijuana legalization. Someone like Bernie I can disagree with his economics a whole lot but I can still respect the man was fighting on the RIGHT side of the civil rights movement. Biden has still yet to join that side and its 2021 and he wants to talk **** about other people regarding racism and morality.
