I don't think any top team really fears any of the others. Anything can happen for 1 game.
 
It's a testament to how weak the Falcons schedule is that they're winning this game in spite of how dysfunctional the team is.
 
The same thing would have happened last year. Eagles were lucky because purdy was going to rip them to shreds.

Niners have the best team, but dont think it would have been this bad. Eagles were way better last year.

Niners deserve all the credit for the win, but you act like this would have happened in the Championship game is cute. I know nothing will convince you otherwise. But the Eagles needed a wakeup call and the Niners gave it to them. They've kept making second half comebacks. Niners made sure that didn't happen. They deserve all the credit for it.

I find it cute you think it wouldn’t have made a difference. Hope we will get to see another opportunity to show off who is the superior team.

Brock has the easiest job of a QB in the NFL. Dump off a pass to McCaffery or Deebo and let them make plays. When that fails, you have a high level WR in Aiyuk and one of the best TEs in the game in Kittle.

Dude Purdy played extremely mediiocre vs Dallas too, who was statistically a worse defense than Philly. If it wasn't for that Kittle circus catch, you guys lose to Dallas.

I see - Another person that holds Purdy up to a HOF standard.

I said I thought Dallas had a better defense than Philly last year. Niners said they thought Eagles secondary was dudu and they proved it yesterday.
 
Watching the Falcons you can see how things are setting up. The Falcons will probably win most of their remaining games as their schedule is ridiculously weak. That means they'll probably win the NFC South. This will cause two things. First, the wins will tank the Falcons draft position and put them in the no mans land of the early part of the bottom half of the first round. Second, it will probably save Arthur Smith's job.

Smith getting his job saved means the Falcons will probably stick with his man crush Desmond Ridder at QB and pass on the loaded QB class this year. This delays getting the next franchise QB by another year.

All of this will mean a window where the Falcons would be legitimate contenders will be delayed by another year. That eats away at the rookie contracts for Pitts and London.

Only the Falcons could hurt themselves so much by winning.

Dude the Eagles lost like half their starting secondary to FA. They were top 5 in Int's a year ago, and now they are bottom 5. This is not the same Eagles defense as last year.

And we smoked them and their offense couldn't do anything despite our defense (as you said) was better last year.

I can't for the life of me think how anyone believes that game meant anything last year since the game was played without a QB.

Well - team will just have to win the SB this year with Brock being hte MVP.

Bengals have a top 5 QB, a top 5 number 1 WR, top five number 2 WR, arguably top 5 guard, etc.

Eagles are doing great at most of their positions.

Cowboys have tons of top talent in many positions and where they don't have top 5 they're usually hovering around top 10.

Jets stank for a long time and got a lot of high picks (sauce Gardner, Quinnen WIlliams, Wilson, etc.) then in the offseason was able to add Rodgers who should still have at least a year or 2 left of good QB play and with all the JEts weapons could be top 5 again.

I would also argue Miami into that mix too. Miami if Tua isn't concussed have sick talent, Tua played really well before they left him out there to get murdered, Waddle and Tyreek is an insane combo. THey are pretty solid across the board.

That being said, it's the NFL, you need a strong performing QB to win. Having a great QB goes a long way. Especially when partnered with a dangerous weapon.

Niners are most talented roster in football and its not even close.
