Eventually people are going to catch up and realize its not hte weapons but its Purdy that is surgical in his reads and anticipation.

Bro- no one is watching 3 mins of Brock Purdy highlights.

My guy... half of these throws are into wide open throwing lanes with a clean pocket. Granted, he shows very good timing, touch, and accuracy, but at least 3 of those were noodle armed throws, where a better defender would have had a play on that ball.

He is basically a right handed Tua. Great QB in the right system and the right personnel. But they lack the raw ability that the elite Qbs in the league possess.

Fast forwarding through, they look like solid QB throws. Not a representative of elite QB play. Most are fairly straight forward outs, corners, digs.

He's a good QB. He can be a good QB without being elite. I would take him as a QB

You are looking at the over view which looks as if they are open but this is not what quarterbacks see (at least most don't).

Receivers are open on every single play if a QB gets more than 3 seconds int he pocket.

Its about understanding the coverage and how those coverage shift over the course of your progressions.

Just a kid - Getting better every single game. His development is far from over and what we are seeing now is high level QB play.

I understand that. It doesn't change the fact that these are wide open lanes, even during decision making process.

Further - When you throw a ball before a receiver gets into their move that is the definition of throwing your receiver open. If you are delayed even one second that is where DB's have the recovery speed to break up the pass.

These are high level reads/ancticipations by Purdy which is why to the average fan (You and I are the same here) the receiver appears open and it seems like an easy throw.

He's 27. Far from a kid. For reference, he is the same age as Lamar Jackson who is playing in his 7th NFL season.

The media backtrack in a few years when Purdy is on path to being a first ballot HOF QB will be amainzg to watch.

LMAO that EPA penalized Josh because his receivers didn't drop the ball, consider maybe it's because of Josh being a better passer.

This seems like someone making stats for stats sake which with enough sample you can discern from, but whatever makes you happy thethe.

It was Purdys fault that Ayiuk dropped his TD pass?

How much of Aiyuk's ability are we gonna attribute to the rest of Purdy's production? How much value are you gonna place on Mason's production for opening up throwing lanes?

It's dumb to try and place value on data didn't happen based on variables that aren't quantifiable.

No it's not. But assigning a value on that is harsh too. Becaus eit wasn't an easy catch what do you assign it for value? It wasn't like he was planted and open, he was in tight coverage and diving. It was a catchable ball but it wasn't a gimme. For those looking for it.

Everything is because of Purdy - Would have thought you'd realize by now.

But in reality he is being pumped up beccause of the talent around him while he grows as a QB. However, he is ELEVATING those around him because of how good he is at reading the defense and throwing them open with catchable balls.

In time he will have less around him but get better as a QB and will be the primary reason the team does well offensively.
