REAL FOOTBALL Thread

2 pages ago, you literally called like half of the SB performances in the last 30 years either mediocre or bad.

But if someone else doesn't like it, it doesn't mean it was terrible, it just wasn't their style..... Got it.
When people aren't in key and are phoning it in, that's bad. Was he out of key in his rapping? I don't think so. He certainly wasn't phoning it in as a performance as this was one of the more produced shows since probably Gaga.

Maybe, but Seattle still rolls them. Bo Nix isn't him. But Denver is a better team than New England.
Bo's better than Drake is. Has a better OL. Probably still lose but that game is way more competitive if Denver made it. Probably still lose b/c Seattle is so good in all 3 phases. But as Kanye said once, i guess we'll never know.

That’s always his excuse.

It was awful for the masses of US folks that don’t speak English.

Just saying - Spanish music isn’t universally appealing. It doesn’t follow the beat. He just talked through the changes in music
No it isn't universally appealing, no music is universally appealing, but you're just not right about following the beat. He's a reggaeton artist, everything uses the same beat. You're right there could have been more interesting interludes, but I mean I don't know how many concerts you've been to. Most of them just kind of stop pause then jump into the next one. Famously, the Ramones would just count in the next song. Which usually wasn't the same actual beat as the song.

Like of all the critiques, talking through changes in music is funny to me. One of the generally regarded best recorded concerts of all time is Nirvana Unplugged, Kurt playts the song, stops changes the music then plays the next. often with discordant noodling between. Would you have been more content with there just being a harder stop between songs without talking over?

I'm not gonna pretend I cared about the performance, but to style it was fine. I don't prefer that style of music but I wouldn't say it was bad. I think it was well choreographed, the set was gorgeous and the videography was excellent. If you like Reggaeton this may have been your favorite ever. Though they'd be wrong, Princes is still the best.
