When people aren't in key and are phoning it in, that's bad. Was he out of key in his rapping? I don't think so. He certainly wasn't phoning it in as a performance as this was one of the more produced shows since probably Gaga.2 pages ago, you literally called like half of the SB performances in the last 30 years either mediocre or bad.
But if someone else doesn't like it, it doesn't mean it was terrible, it just wasn't their style..... Got it.
Bo's better than Drake is. Has a better OL. Probably still lose but that game is way more competitive if Denver made it. Probably still lose b/c Seattle is so good in all 3 phases. But as Kanye said once, i guess we'll never know.Maybe, but Seattle still rolls them. Bo Nix isn't him. But Denver is a better team than New England.
No it isn't universally appealing, no music is universally appealing, but you're just not right about following the beat. He's a reggaeton artist, everything uses the same beat. You're right there could have been more interesting interludes, but I mean I don't know how many concerts you've been to. Most of them just kind of stop pause then jump into the next one. Famously, the Ramones would just count in the next song. Which usually wasn't the same actual beat as the song. That’s always his excuse.
It was awful for the masses of US folks that don’t speak English.
Just saying - Spanish music isn’t universally appealing. It doesn’t follow the beat. He just talked through the changes in music
What about JT's, Coldplay's, U2's, or Maroon 5's performances were out of key or "phoning it in." Seems like a lot of people liked those performances. When people aren't in key and are phoning it in, that's bad. Was he out of key in his rapping? I don't think so. U2 I didn't say was phoning it in, it was just a bleh performance. Coldplay was a bad fit, they're a low energy act. The performance was fine but when you're trying to condense a 15 minute set, playing Yellow, Clocks and Fix You isn't getting people hype. I'm probably being too harsh on JT and Maroon 5. JT is absurd he got his own show after he was equally complicit in destroying Janet Jackson's career on the SUper Bowl. But even then I don't remember anything from his show. Maroon 5 was boring as hell. The only part of the show that had any bump to it was when Big Boi came on and did an outkast song. And they pissed off every millenial by hinting at Sweet Victory and instead bringing out Travis Scott for Sicko Mode which I'm sure some people liked but my memory of it was him bobbing his head and staring at a monitor. What about JT's, Coldplay's, U2's, or Maroon 5's performances were out of key or "phoning it in." Again, different rules for different people. Ok when you do it. Not when someone else does it.
Reasonable perspective to have about a commercial.I didnt enjoy the halftime show. But that's fine
I'm not mad about it. Bad Bunny just isn't intended for me. I'm mature enough to know my personal tastes don't have to be catered to.
I don't complain about the NFL having a halftime show not meant for me. My only complaint is with the people who act like I have to like the show regardless of whether it's meant for me or not. That whether you like it or not is some kind of litmus test or something.
I don't enjoy Bad Bunny's style of music and it's okay that the halftime show had a style of music I don't like.

I mean there is an aspect to OK when I do it because I'd be willing to bet that I consume infinitely more live music and performance content than the average person.
I mean if that's what you want to take away, go ahead. Reality is when matching to style and gradoise of performance, I don't think you can say it's bad, you can say you don't like it or prefer it or whatever. Mind you many of the artists who I didn't think did great jobs are artists I love. So it's not a preference thing. I love Tom Petty and the Who, btu they were about 20 years too late to be performing. Same with McCartney and the Stones. SPringsteen was on the edge. But like if Pearl Jam was brought in now to perform it would be 10 years too late as Vedder's voice is shot.LOL.
Literally what I said. Rules for thee, but not for me.
