REAL FOOTBALL Thread

I might be late to this party BUT did Kap seriously say Dilfer doesn't know the progressions on the routes? He can't be serious, can he? Dilfer, the guy who breaks down more film than anyone and probably the best in the game at breaking down QB and tape in general..........really?

Sadly he did. I don't think he is handling this season well at all. I still hvae 100% faith in him moving forward but he needs to learn how to deal with adversity better.

No idea what this thing with Dilfer is about. Haven't heard of it.

I will say that Kaep is showing how immature he is though. Considering all the crap he was doing in the off season that wasn't football related.

Finally dropped richardson in my fantasy legue for tate. Haven't started since the 2nd game after he was traded. May be after an offseason of learning the play book and the Colts strengthening the OL, may be he'll get better. You would think with his size he'd at least be a good short yardage back anyways. Not holding my breath though.

Browns looking like they trade raped the Colts

VD is on track to play according to reports. Him being out there is huge. Although the 49ers get smoked anyway I think.

Hey zito, still think the Colts trading for Richardson was smart? Has he become a stud yet?

Hell yeah it's still smart. As if any trade involving first round pick is safe it's not. Trent Richardson could be a bust or he could be a star, or he could be average, who knows.

It looks pretty clear that he wasn't worth using either a first rounder to draft him or trading one for him.

Trent was solid last season in Cleveland and he was battling injuries all season. This season is not an indicator of how much talent Trent has.

Richardson was not solid last year. He got yards because he got a bunch of carries.
He really doesn't do anything special. He's going to be an average RB his whole career, as he has been so far (though this year is below average, and last may have been, too).
Trading a 1st for him after someone made the mistake of taking him 3rd overall.

only zito would look at how bad he's been and how little he's been used and say it was smart. bet the colts wish they had it back.

12 TD and over 1200 total yards as a rookie in Cleveland is pretty impressive. Throw in 51 catches as well.

3.6 yards per carry is bad no matter how you try and spin it. Again, anyone can rush for 1000 yards with enough carries. Someone made the mistake of drafting him in the first round - twice. He's been more detrimental to the Colts so far than good.

I am willing to reserve judgement until he has a full off season getting to the know offense. If by this time next season he's still doing poorly than he's a bust.

3.6 isn't great, but it also isn't terrible. He was also very valuable as a pass catching RB last yr. He has talent obviously. I wouldn't write him off just yet, though clearly this yr has been brutal, but he is not the only high profile RB that has struggled this yr.
