I love how people try to make out that RG3 had nothing and was miraculous all by himself. What a joke.

He didn't I mean look at how bad that amazing god that was Red Grossman was the year before. Cannot forget the fact that the superstud John Beck, he was poised for legendary status before he came to the Redskins and the receivers leached his potential from him.

Morris is a good back, but having RG3 and the design of the run game makes him look a lot better. In the times where Cousins was in the game, Morris was far less effective.

Davis tore his achilles and didn't even play half a season. He finished with 24 catches on the year.

Garcon missed much of the year with some kind of foot problem that he hurt in the first game of the season.

Santana Moss----lol.

The Skins had the best running team in the NFL in large part bc RG3 ran for 800+ yards.

I'm not saying that RG3 had studs all over but lets not make it out that he took the NY Jets roster and made it a playoff team. RG3 had a fantastic rookie season but he also had help. Morris wasn't his usual self obviously without RG3 but he still had an effective game against Cleveland who had an average run defense.

Thank you for posting those stats that clearly say Ryan is better with his nearly 1500 yard advantage.

Also Morris is great because of Shanny. Shanahan knows how to find and develop running backs. he always has. 2008 was the only season I can recall him with the Broncos not having one of the best running games in the NFL. And I don't believe he ever took RBs high in the draft. He just knows how to get guys who work in his system. That's certainly an ability.

He had 3.2 yards per carry that game.

What do you mean by it's not like he took over the NY Jets roster? The Skins averaged 5 wins per year the 3 years prior to RG3.

They scored 288 points in 2011
They scored 302 points in 2010
They scored 266 points in 2009

In 2012,they scored 436.

You mean 1500 more yards in 222 more attempts (6.76 y/att)?

Then they signed Garcon/Morgan and drafted Morris. Teams fortunes can change quickly when you actually have a good QB. Put a better QB on those last three year teams and I'm sure they win more games.

Dude you're so simple that it's cute. When you throw the ball more your Y/A is gonna take a hit. RG3 would not average the same Y/A if he threw the ball as often as Ryan because instead of passing to a safety valve he runs or gets sacked.

I still think the most telling stat for RG3 is his pretty much dead last in the NFC conversion rate on 3rd and long. When he had no choice but to pass, and teams knew he was passing, he wasn't very good. Obviously he should improve on that stat, but face it the kid has tons of room to improve his game. When the read option is figured out in one of several ways (either through assignment defense or knocking the snot out of quarterbacks) then we'll see if he has what it takes to be a true NFL QB. The Running game was clearly his biggest asset.

I also remember someone talking about how the Skins were a threat in 11 because of their weapons for the amazing John Beck!!

Garcon and Morgan were both injured all of last year.

Yes, teams can change when you have a good QB. Which is exactly my point.

Can you pass along the source for 3rd and long passing? Thats an interesting stat.

But don't act like the team didn't have talent in those years. They did, they just had **** for QB's.

Missing the trolling, ftw!

It's only trolling if you're good at it. Not to mention you're a Redskins fan, arguably the most delusional fanbase to ever walk the face of the earth so I would expect you to come back later and go "HEY GUYZ OF COURSE I WAS KIDDING!!! HAHAHAHA"

lol, wut? In 11 their best RB was Roy Helu. The best wideouts were Stallworth, Gaffney, and Moss.

in 2010 the best RB was Torain. The best wideouts were Moss, Armstrong, and Galloway.

How come Torain, Gaffney, and Galloway are out of the NFL? Is Anthony Armstrong? (3 catches last year) Stallworth is trying to hang on as 5th WRer for the Redskins.

Weapons galore. Why are they all out of the NFL then?

Sure there's another site that has them, I jsut found Wash post first. May want to screen grab them if you want to reference them later. You have to click NFC to see RG3 since he's all the way at the bottom with 5/48

There are so many things wrong with that stat even ignoring the extreme sample size issues. It doesn't gauge the distance on the 3rd down plays. It doesn't account for what situation was occuring. It doesn't account for running for a first down, among other things.

Really? Bc I hear Falcons fans on here talk about how great their team is, yet they have as many trophies as the Eagles.

Because they're all old and the skins didn't do their due diligence and draft young WRs.

HUZZAH CRAZY THINGS!! OLD PEOPLE LEAVE THE NFL FASTER THAN YOUNG PLAYERS

HUZZAH HUZZAH HUZZAH!!
