REAL FOOTBALL Thread

If you add a straigtened out Aldon and a healthy Bowman then it instantly becomes one of the top 5 defenses in football. Its not the worlds greatest drafters fault that two All-Pros aren't going to be playing for various reasons.

Actually, a guy like Smith would cause some drafters to hesitate because of his issues, so that could be his "fault."

I'm not a guy who follows college football but were there red flags about Aldon coming into the draft?

I don't know if there were any, but being that out-of-it and weird doesn't happen overnight, should have been apparent in pre-draft interviews. Talent always trumps, and clearly it worked out for at least a couple seasons, but that is the reason they have pre-draft interviews.

Yup, I've compared seventh round draft picks who have only done a few workouts to a future HOF player. Clearly, these are things I have done before.

Wtf does it matter who you compare them to? You make asinine comps on all of your teams players, all the time.

He only said Adams was going to be a top 5 center, he didn't directly compare him to a guy that was also a top 5 center.
So it's much different. Zito = homer, thethe = the realist.

I just googled some articles and apparently there were red flags based on personality tests. If these are true then I agree it should be negatively held against Baalke. I'm fair when clear evidence is out there.

At least I've seen Adams play against real competition and am not comparing attributes to a HOFer.

You can't tell me that comparison is similar to what I've said in the past (outside of Francouer).

OK, and to be fair, zeets only said he has an Allen type motor, not that he will necessarily be Jared Allen or be as productive. He pointed out coaches compared their motors.

Which is absolutely something you would do.

That and Crabtree was the next Jerry Rice. And in true thethe fashion he saw two completely unrelated names in a post and assumed (without using that reading comprehension skill) he was saying one was JUST LIKE THE OTHER.

No, I said that Crabtree had the best hands I've seen since Jerry Rice which is something that has been repeated by Harbaugh. But again, Crabtree has competeted and excelled at the highest of levels. Somewhat higher than the level of first practice.

Oh my. I didn't know the exact quote, but its not like thats anywhere close to true either.

Once again, you still don't get it. Go back and reread the whole thread. Maybe that will help.

Harbaugh never repeated that. He said Crabtree has the best hands of all time. If you want to align yourself with that lunatic statement, more power to you.

Well, nobody had hands like Rice so I'll help him out.

Well, you can argue who had the best hands of all time. Some names that come to mind aside from Rice, Chris Carter, Fitz, Largent, Moss, Sterling Sharpe, Biletnikoff, Winslow Sr, Swann, Harrison, could name a ton. Both yours and Jimmy boys statements are beyond moronic. Cause I listed at least 3 guys since Rice who have better hands than Crabapples and including rice at least 10 others.

thethe doesn't like facts. He's a speed reader, he just glances through what's said then comments. Sometimes it's a fun game to play with him.
