It's OVER 5,000!
He isn't top 5. He had a great season in 2012. He got hurt in 2013. Lets see what happens in 2014.
Exactly. He isn't even relatively close to top 5. You want people to give him credit for potential.

1100 yards and 9 TDs inhis 4th NFL season, lets give him the MVP.
Julio Jones in his second year in the NFL had just under 1200 yards and 10 TDs. To me that's great. If Julio is 26 and not getting 80 yards per game I'll be disappointed.

No, I want people to give him credit for what he is which is one of the better WR's in the NFL. People talk about him like he is just another guy over here and its laughable. He will show everyone this year. Sadly, I don't expect to see him a 49er in the future.
Thats such a ridiculous comparison I'm not even sure why I'm responding. First off, Julio is a better receiver. Secondly he plays in a passing offense. Thirdly, he has been surrounded by better offensive skill position players so far in his career. Ryan is a better QB than Smith. And Gonzalez is a better receiving tight end than Vernon. Plus he had Roddy White.
I'm not even sure why this comparison is even being made.
So being surrounded by better talent, wouldn't that take targets from him?
Also Tony is not a better receiving TE at the late portions of his career than Davis. Tony was maybe a better system fit, I'd buy that, but Davis is a stud. He's not Gronk or Graham, but he's in that next group of guys who should be pushing 1000 yards as a TE, his problem is Kaepernick can't throw the intermediate pass. Tony was great in Atlanta's system because he never really had to worry about a double, or much pressure and Ryan is great at throwing intermediate passes which is where Tony's only value in as his skills after the catch were bad the last few years.
Also, like you said Ryan is a better passing QB than Kaep at this point in their careers. 49ers are also a very run heavy team. Throw all these factors into the equation and its easy to see why Crab did not get all the looks that these other receivers get/got.
Loud noises!!!!!
No seriously. Crab is a little better than the average wideout and a little worse than your average no 1. Nothing wrong with that. I'd put him anywhere from 15-20 if I had to rank em.
Belief and fact aren't the same thing.I would agree with this. However, I do believe that Crab will move up the ladder by the end of this season.
Or it could be he doesn't get separation and Kaepernick can't throw him open like say Ryan would or even Nick Foles would. Smart QBs>Talented QBs.
San Fran had Manningham and the better paired for him Moss. Boldin JMO hurts Crabtree cause they're the same basic receiver, but Boldin is much better at it. Concern with Boldin is age and speed though.
oh yeah, lets pretend like his 2012/2013 postseason didn't happen either when he was dominating.
70 yards per game is dominating?
If someone as slow as Crabtree is your slot man, your'e doing the slot wrong. Slot receivers are supposed to be fast and explosive. Crabtree is neither.
I would agree with this. However, I do believe that Crab will move up the ladder by the end of this season.
