REAL FOOTBALL Thread

Problem is that pretty much no team has good depth after their first QB unless you have a young kid who was a second or later pick.

True; but, still. Right now, the Niners would likely have one of the worst 2nd stringers in the league. Which sucks.

It is just brutal watching the 49ers with a backup QB. I liked the way the offense was starting to move the ball with Kaep under center but even that was a struggle. The key is going to be not losing too many games in the first 5-6 games. 49ers have consistently gotten much better as the season progressed.

It's pre-season, but it's not a refreshing sign to be completely blown out in two games and not score a touchdown either. Granted half the defense didn't play, but overall the team is just not firing on all or any cylinders right now. There is time to get things corrected, but that needs to be done real fast.

Watching this MNF game for a little tonight. There have been like 10 penalties called and at least 3-4 flags that were picked up. Seriously what is happening to the league? Are all games going to be called like this now?

Hope not but if so, welcome to 4 hour games.

Gil Brandt seems to believe Alex Boone turned down a four year extension from the 49ers. This "offer" would have made him paid as a top 12 guard in the entire league.

If this is the case, don't let the door hit you on your way out then.

Burger Bill said it was Top 25, not Top 12.
