The league plays the angles. Seattle is like the undertaker when he was an antagonist character. People disliked him, but it had ratings. Same thing here and the league will take all they can get and more.

So...

A team that has one of the smaller media markets and has two players that consistently criticize the league in Sherman and Lynch, but some how they are a golden child.

Guess you fail to realize the NFL will do whatever to maximize profits. The league is a soap opera.
 
i love the Goodell is Vince McMahon narrative.

It's really fun even if it doesn't make absolutely any logical or economic sense.

Falcons fans know all about standing on the tracks when the Rodgers train is comin through. He ate us alive in the playoffs a few years back. It was one of the best performances I've ever seen. Tight coverage? no problem. Double coverage? No sweat. It was so impressive .
