Sorry pal. When you say your call last week didn't affect the outcome but this one did - you lose your credibility.

I would feel for you. But after last week - sweet justice

It's whatever you believe. I'm not going to try and change your mind because I know I won't. Just try and show some class

The call last week possibly prevented the Lions from going up 6-10. This week the Pack still only needed a FG.

What is unclassy about it? Did you read any of Yeezus' posts this past week?

Also - my Facebook and twitter feeds are full of cowboys fans and they are insufferable. You are one of the better ones.

I guess the rule is the rule but that clearly should be called a catch. As others have said it's a stupid rule. I thought he made a football move twisting around and diving for the endzone, but maybe making a football move doesn't matter? I mean he had clear possession before he hit the ground. The rule needs to be changed to where if the player has clear possession before hitting the ground then it's a catch.

Agreed. But it was called correctly

I thought he made a football move spinning around diving for the endzone. Does it not matter if he makes a football move? They kept mentioning it on the tv.

Making a football move does matter. I read somewhere that one of the refs said he the stretch for the endzone wasn't "enough" of a stretch to be considered a football move, whatever that means. Pretty terrible rule, and I expect them to address it. Using common sense that's simply a catch.

Still, have no faith we stop Rodgers if he gets the ball back. His last ten passes, he was 10/10 for 163 yards and a TD. He was tearing it up in the 4th quarter.

No bc he never comes down with the ball before going towards the ground. He would have to completely come down and then make a football move.

They should have changed it after CJ play. It also cost the Skins a couple years back with Tana.

If you go to the ground in the process of making a catch you have to majntain it all the way thru. RG was ruled a fumble against giants because he bobbles ball before regaining possession and diving for end zone, similar play.

Marinelli leaving Dallas for Tampa.

Boom

This is so odd to me. Literally 15 minutes after the game this was reported.
He really did a good job this year. Cowboys defense was totally devoid of talent, but they all played hard, hit hard, and showed more effort than I've seen anytime recently.

Good luck with that dude, sports is getting to be like politics, people decide what they want to believe first then "rearrange the facts to fit their opinion. The Dez catch was IMO a catch, it was nullified by a stupid rule that allows zebras to decide "what is is", Dez had control of the ball, went to the ground after contact with the defender having clear control of the ball hits the ground which causes the ball to come loose (the ground can't cause a fumble, right???) the ball pops out but never touches the ground again but is incomplete. The effing idiot Prereia (sp?) says "he clearly had control of the ball but not possession of the ball" WTF?????? With that said that call DID NOT cause the Cowboys to lose the game, that's just the great big elephant in the room that everybody notices, but there are lots of other things to point out.
1.) How many times did the Packers go in low on Romo? How many roughing the passer calls? The Bronco's first TD today came because the Colts went in low on Peyton ONCE.
2.) Did you see the tackles the Packers OL made on the Cowboys DL?? I just wish the Cowboys safeties could tackle that well

All those things suck but it doesn't change the fact that the NFL is rapidly becoming the NBA. I used to be HUGE NBA fan but never watch a game anymore because it has long since become the WWE because of the officiating. If any of you are old enough to remember the 1980's the NBA powers that be wanted the Celtics and Lakers in the finals every year and that's pretty much what they got. One year the Celts were like 40-1 at home and 21-20 on the road because in Boston Garden it was always 7 on 5. The officiating is as honest in the NFL these days as those official inquiries into what Goodell knew about the Ray Rice tape and when he knew it. Very few "surprises".

So, if you want to win (if you're the Cowboys just to use today's game as an example):
1.) You don't miss field goals (the games best K missed how many today?)
2.) You don't miss tackles in the open field, how many did the Cowboys safeties and corners miss, just in the second half?
3.) You don't take unnecessary sacks holding onto the ball too long, hey Tony 2nd and 10 is way better than 2nd and 18, especially when the other team is hot and you've cooled off.
4.) Hey DeMarco, hold onto the damn ball, the play where Peppers stripped him it was a half assed reach at best and Murray had a huge gain in front of him possibly even a TD, you can't fumble with a reach in like that, not if you want to win.
5.) Someone, Turbo I think, said this which I also have to agree with. Assuming Dez gets credit for the catch and Dallas scores (Prereria and the prick who reversed the call on the field can both go f*ck themselves) there was almost 5 minutes left in the game and Dallas would have then taken a 27, 28, or 29 to 26 lead (depending on the PAT or 2 point conversion). Is there anybody here who doesn't think Rodgers, who by that time was absolutely on fire wasn't going to take the ball down the field in that amount of time and at least get a field goal, quite probably a TD?

When you're in the playoffs you have to have a killer instinct and you have to play flawless or near flawless football, you have to play like you're not going to get fair officiating, and certainly not like you expect to get any help from the refs, you have to play against the game itself not just against the other team. If you put yourself in a position to possibly get screwed by the zebras, guess what's most likely going to happen? The Cowboys came a long way this season, compared with the last 3. They have a lot of be proud of, I hope they can build on this season's success and not let Jerry anywhere near the draft board or free agent signing board ever again.

Oh and last thing, we all get however much justice we deserve. Every one of us should have risen up and gotten that dumbass ref who screwed Calvin Johnson 4 or 5 years ago kicked out of the league, but we just went along with it, and you know what? That isn't even the worst thing. We should all have risen up, what was it 13 or 14 years ago when the Raiders got screwed by the "tuck rule" BS, but hey nobody likes the Raiders that's why nobody will stick up for them, that's why we all just said, "well the rule was called correctly though I think it's a stupid rule".
