I do not believe that; Cutler is faster and more mobile than Ryan.

Ryan isn't a stiff out there. He's more mobile now than he has been in years past, but he's also not a guy you want running boot legs. He's never been s guy to throw on the run, ever.

Yeah, that's what will be interesting because the basis of their offense is zone running both ways with the PA, bootleg.

Faster yes, but more mobile no. Cutler gets sacked way more, and his runnign advantage is not huge. Basically suggests while Cutler may be faster Ryan is smarter in the pocket which certainly in my opinion makes them at least equals.

Even without all of that, Ryan is simply a much better quarterback. If you can't scheme around superior quarterbacks, then you aren't much of a coordinator.

yup. My lone concern with booting and Ryan is you may be removing an asset of his which is using te whole field.

May be now. But not so much when he was in Denver, which is all that's relevant.

Edit:

Actually I wouldn't even say it for now. Cutler is definitely more mobile even now. His decision making isn't really relevant to how much more mobile he is. May be it applies to his effectiveness, but they aren't similar QBS at all.

I think we are going to see an identical offense to what Denver is going to run this year. Both systems are very similar and they are adapting to roughly similar quarterbacks.

He's def. more mobile; sack rate is pointless to bring up.

Certainly. That's why I said interesting bc literally every offense Shanny has run has the boot as a significant building block

Per PFF Grady Jarrett was the biggest steal of the NFL draft in the 5th.

We’ve seen it over and over again. Height keeps pushing defensive tackles down draft boards despite building evidence against its significance. Aaron Donald, Geno Atkins, Jurrell Casey, and Mike Daniels all got the ‘undersized’ label, but all play among the highest level at their respective positions. Jarrett could very well be the next player added to that list. At 6-foot-1, 304 pounds with short arms, Jarrett’s is built like a cannon ball and plays like one too. No defensive tackle in all of the FBS was more dominant on a per-play basis than Jarrett last season. Finding a player like him in the fifth round is the definition of a ‘steal’.

Tom Brady is going to be suspended according to one of papers out there. Not surprising. I personally think it's going to be a lengthy suspension since he lied and did not cooperate with the investigator. Maybe double what he would have received.

Goodell is all about trying to look good politically when the heat's on. My guess is at least half a season. Maybe 6 games. That's on the low end, though. Personally, I think he needs to be gone the whole year.
