REAL FOOTBALL Thread

Kinda. At half I figured something would need to be done.

Julio is such a monster. Glad to have that cat locked up.

Well the good news is that Trufant has adjusted superbly to the transition to Seattle's scheme. There was some concern how he would handle not being in press coverage, but he has been Richard Sherman like in the first two games where he is seeing zero targets his way.

Vic Beasley also had a monster game yesterday. He ripped Flowers to pieces. He looks like a bomafide stud.

The defense isn't great, but it does look at least good which is light year's ahead of last year's defense.

Flowers has had two rough games. He's a rookie, yeah, but both Gregory and Beasley are, too, and they were both eating him alive.

I liked Lael Collins a lot more than Flowers coming into the draft and while I understand why they (and every team) passed on him, that pick seemed like quite a stretch.

He should still end up being an okay player because that learning curve for rookie LT's is enormous. Jake Matthews wasn't very good last year, but has been excellent this year. It just takes time I guess.

He let Pugh have all he wanted and more. Eli just gets the ball out pretty quick. It is early, but I can't complain. Babineaux has looked great in this scheme.

They drafted Flowers to play RT, but has been forced to play LT. He isn't really the caliber of player you would expect to start day 1 as a LT.

Beasley was probably my favorite player of the draft. Not surprised to see him tear it up. Though, I was worried about his size as he looks like a safety.

Beasley will need to bulk up some more. But he'll be set up well under Quinn's system which values speed.

I guess the crowning of Andrew Luck as a top 3 QB
was a bit premature.

Wouldn't go that far. He's faced too legit defenses to open the year. His receivers can't get open and the offensive line isn't helping his case either. Luck has made some poor throws tonight though.

So you are saying we are going to hear another year of people over rating Luck?

RG3>Luck AMIRITE?

While Luck isn't elite yet, he has the tools to make that jump at some point. Question is, will he? If he doesn't worst case scenario he's Jay Cutler. Some signs of brilliance but overall incompetant starter. Most likely he'll be Roethlisberger. A very good overall QB who has a few years where he struggles a bit.

Shame not everyone can be like Ryan and just come into the league and boss from day 1.
