REAL FOOTBALL Thread

I read a fluff piece that Will Fuller would love to be drafted by the Falcons to play with Ryan. He's not my ideal WR pick (Treadwell is, I would love for him to fall to 16) but I wouldn't hate him. IMO if we want WR and Treadwell doesn't fall (which he may, he's not an ace, he's a possession receiver so anyteam taking him needs an ace next to him) then we should trade back and look at FUller, DOctson or Coleman.

IMO at 16 we should be looking for a starter, either at WR or DE, if we can't get one, then trade back and get a player in the 20s who may start and pick up a few more picks.

We are devoid of picks (5 I think?) so a trade back wouldn't be the worst. Popping Braxton Miller after a trade back looks pretty good from here. I am not enamored with Treadwell... Doctson is probably a mid first rounder right now, Coleman too. Doubt they are around if we move back very far.

Don't the Lions pick at 16?

Bears shopping Martellus Bennett. I would at least give the Bears a call if I was TD to gauge what it would take. I would not surrender a pick this year though, it would have to be next.

I think even if CJ doesn't retire, WR is a pretty big and immediate need for Detroit.

what a weird career for that freak of an athlete.

I wouldn't blame him for retiring, at this point in his career he's made a chunk of change. If I was an NFL player I'd retire after my first payday. It's not use risking my long term mental health for a few million more when I can live more than comfortably enough off of the 100+ Million I've already made. Not to mention the career he's almost certain to have in commentary afterwards.

Texans released Foster. Awesome back who cant stay healthy. Would love for Pats to take chance on him.

I wont be surprised if he signs with the Saints. He almost signed with the Saints as an UDFA but backed out and signed with the Texans because he thought he had a better chance to start with the Texans, which the Saints totally understood. With his injury problems he might thrive in a rotational role. Which they do specifically because none of our running backs can stay healthy. Atleast until they go to the Jets.

I think it's likely he signs with a team that imploys the ZBS. The Broncos make the most sense with the Gary Zubiak connection.

Excited about Murray to Tennessee. He's exactly the type of runner we needed. And he's good at pass protection as well which will help protect MM.

He may not be a top back anymore, but he's better than the garbage we ran out last season. And while it's a small sample size, Murray did perform exceptionally better once Kelly was fired, which supports the argument that he was simply used horribly by Kelly.

Kelly coached 15 of the 16 games.

Yes I am aware. Which is why I said small sample size. But he did average the most yards per rush of any game that season in week 17, after Kelly was fired.

I didn't say it was anything definitive. But he did perform better after Kelly was fired, which at least supports the popular opinion that Murray was a bad fit and Kelly didn't use him correctly.

NFL Network literally just pointed out the same thing as well, fwiw.

I miss when the Braves would always get me more excited than the Titans.

Pumped about Murray.

Would make sense to grab Tunsil with that first pick now... If you can replicate that Dallas model except with a mobile qb Mularky could actually have something. I think Murray is going to need all the help up front he can get.
