Bridgewater was good in Minne before the injury and this year during that 6 game stretch he was absolutely one of the best QBs in the league.

And yes, Hill is a complete unknown. He has thrown a grand total of 13 passes and completed less than half of them. And, oh by the way, the dude is already 29, so that athletic ability that is his best trait currently, is going to be declining very soon. I'm not saying he can't be great, but certainly it's a huge risk with a team that's already built to be a SB contender.

It's just extremely odd that, not only do you actually want the Saints to take a chance on a completely unproven UDFA that is 29 now, but you think he's a better option than Bridgewater, who you know for a fact runs the offense well and can actually win you games. And Bridgewater is over 2 years younger.

65 yards in 16 carries is about 4YPC for a guy who averaged over 5 on the year. The last time they played KC he had 4 more rushes and 120 more yards. KC made it their game plan to not get beat by Henry and succeeded. Top shelf RBs can't be fully shut down. But you can limit the damage and the chiefs certainly did that.

Most of his damage is done in the second half of games. 65 yards is about par for the course for him in the first half of games.

So, usually great defenses beat great offenses in the Superbowl. We've seen it when Buccaneers destroyed Oakland, Seahawks did with Broncos.

BTW as an aside, Bucs beat Oakland because Oakland didn't change their playbook like fools. Tampa knew what would happen. They made minor tweaks but the tweaks were to names not to what they were doing.

I mean that Bucs defense was pretty amazing as well. Sapp, Barber, Brooks, and Lynch all in their prime.

And everyone's favorite Monday Night Football broadcaster Booger McFarland.

Don't forget Simeon Rice. They loved talking about hownhe used to line up as a cheetah in his stance.

Bucs were a talented team for sure. But they got to that superbowl with great defense, great coaching, and a hot hand. They beat the Eagles because of a few key matchups. They beat the Raiders because of the damned playbook. Gannon threw 11 interceptions through his first 18 games, then threw 5 in that game. There's a reason for that.

Yeah... the Buccs had by far the #1 defense in the league that year and it wasn't even close. Tampa had 31 interceptions that year. Next best team had 24.

They're the only team that year that actually contained Vick when he came onto the scene running around causing havoc.

Monte Kiffin had 2 full weeks to prepare for the Raiders. Not even 3 years previous the Ravens defense absolutely destroyed the Giants in the Super Bowl. Kiffin was probably the best DC in the game at that time in terms of creating blitzes, other than Johnson who was with the Eagles.

That Tampa defense that year was one of the greatest defenses of all time. Their pass rush was outrageous when they had Peak Sapp, Peak McFarland, and Peak Simeon Rice rushing Ganon. And you also had speed with the defensive backs, and Lynch and Brooks controlling the middle and assisting the blitz.

Look at how much better Tampa 2's defense was compared to 2-5

Look at their passing defense stats. The Raiders were a high passing team, with not much of a running game. All Tampa needed was to keep applying the pass rush to Gannon who was old, and they had three monster pass rushers on the line. They had quality defensive backs like Ronde Barber and Dexter Jackson to match up with Brown and Rice.

I would say, that defense, Baltimore 1999, and Seattle D that destroyed the Broncos are the best defenses we've seen this century.
