Found this on another board. Sums up the awesome Niner offseason, MS paint style.

They should cut Aldon. Guy could have gone down as one of the greatest of all time but he is such a head case he can't even manage his own life. Maybe one day he gets it together but the distraction is just not worth it anymore.

Talent-wise, he could.

He was on a record-setting pace.

I'd keep him for this year though.

I havent seen anyone say they would cut him.

Tim Kawakami is all that i've seen he may not play this year. When Schefter says it, i'll believe it, his word is like god.

Seahawks, Richard Sherman near deal to make him top-paid NFL CB

The Seattle Seahawks have made considerable progress towards getting corner Richard Sherman signed to a long-term contract, according to sources with knowledge of the situation. Both sides are hopefully of getting the deal done prior to the May 8-10 NFL Draft.

The Seahawks are prepared to make Sherman the NFL's highest-paid corner -- and the deal will surpass Darrelle Revis's $12M compensation for 2014 -- the questions remains by just how much.

Several league sources anticipate the contract will be worth more than $13M a season when finalized, with the Seahawks reluctant to go to $14M thus far. The corner market has undergone a reset in recent years, with Revis' $16 million-a-year deal with Tampa seen as an outlier. Unable to trade that contract, Revis was released and signed with the Patriots for what amounts to a one-year, $12M deal.

Explain how why thats a crazy statement. Did you ever watch the guy play? He was on a record setting pace for sacks and was only getting better.

Because the GOATs do it for a long, long time. He never came close to doing it for long enough for that statement to be reasonable.

Smith has 42 sacks through 3 years, thats pretty ridiculous.

GOAT, no, but he was on track to be one of the best all-time, still may if he can keep his off the field issues in check.

AGAIN, players have to do it for a much longer time to be in the conversation with the GOATs. Saying he was "on track" means little to nothing. Part of what makes a GOAT is doing it for a while. Smith hasn't. That's why it's silly to bring up.

He's been making bonehead decisions for a good amount of time. He might end up as one of the greatest in that department.

Exactly. I forget who I was talking to years ago on here was talking about Demarcus Ware was gonna be the GOAT cause he was setting records in his first 4 years, then he tapered off largely the following 5.
