I don't know what's up with you guys, IMO Crabtree is right up there with the most overrated players in the NFL. If you want to see a truly great receiver just look on the other side from where he lines up, Anquan Boldin is a great one, IMO one of the best around. I know when the game is one the line that's who I would be throwing it to. Stevie Johnson is also better IMO than Crabs, IF he can just stay on the field (injury issues), if so Crabs might be the 3rd best WR on that team, if his hands are all that great perhaps he's using them for something other than catching a football.

Ok, sedentary people don't become those things. While smoking certain types, sure you will become that. Just like a lot of leisurely activities. I become that when I watch baseball. Baseball: Not even once.

Explain how Crabtrree is overrated.
 
Yeah, I don't get that one. He had a great season in 2012/13 and got hurt. The guy catches everything and while he doesn't have top end speed he is elusive with the ball in his hands.

He's a great WR. But he doesn't have the best hands in the NFL right now, much less ever or since rice

I like thethe he's a nice guy. I've said it a million times if I ever sell a product of any kind thethe is someone I'd want to enjoy it because he'd talk it up. But when you say Crabtree has the best hands since Rice, ignores the many insane talents that have come through the NFL since Jerry, and ignores Fitz who according to some has some of the best hands of all time. And it ignores the ability of his contemporary Cris Carter. I mean I guess since RIce retired later you could argue that Rice had 2 years where he had the best hands in the NFL for that statement, but that's not the spirit of the statement.

Jerry Rice is the greatest receiver of all-time. He did not have the best hands of all time Of course he had great hands, but this myth that Rice was essentially a perfect specimen is just that. Rice was an amazing WR, he didn't have a weakness and that's rare. Moss had his effort, Megatron has hands questions, Rice didn't have any of that. He had great size, speed, was an amazing route runner and had great hands. His whole package made him the best not really just one part of it. And of course mentally Jerry was perfect.

Don't take my LOL at thethe the wrong way. I love his fanhood and passion, and I'd take him for a fellow fan any day. Its way better than this depressing stuff on the GDTs. I just find it funny he took offense to what you posted, which is stuff he does on a daily basis.

IMO thethe is a top poster here. :cooter:

Plus, he isn't all wrapped up in scoring internet points.

interesting part is, I never claimed anything close to that.
But when you say you had friends who became "sedentary" because of weed, but went on to be successful...what exactly is your point? That weed doesn't prohibit success? Then we agree.

Crabtree certainly doesn't have the best hands currently, or since Rice. That shouldn't be the issue here... the issue should be Johnson's hands... He is a good receiver... but, he drops far to many crucial passes, a lot of them easy to catch ones as well. I watched him week in and week out, he is a good WR, but, he can get really frustrating. Hopefully being the 3rd WR will lessen the pressure on him and help him focus more, meaning he hopefully does not drop the easy ones.

Of course it is. When you are depth deficient as we are, you could actually see we have that many openings. We have a wide open spot alongside Moore at FS, with only oft injured Lowery there (Above average in coverage). Hageman won't start, but he will be in a rotation and probably move inside on passing downs. I fully expect him to play heavy snaps as a rookie, but not start. Matthews will start, duh.

THe falcons beat writer for the AJC is the one that said he is going to pencil Shembo in at OLB. Any of these guys could be an upgrade on what we have currently.

Plus, Freeman could take over for SJax next year. Soo..... we could see this pan out as an excellent draft, just as you said. Fairly easily I might add.
