Rams had the 7th best defense in EPA/Play

Niners had the 24th best defense in EPA/Play

Using non-advanced stats

Rams were 13th in Yards per play, 5th in Turnovers, Gave up the 12th fewest first downs, 8th in NFL in sacks, 4th in the NFL in pressure% 6th from the best in missed tackles (aka only 5 teams missed less tackles than them)

There's nothing about them that is mediocre. Yards is probably the only thing. The Rams defense was good.

Niners by the way 24th in yards per play, tied for 23rd in turnovers, gave up the 23rd fewest first downs, had the least amount of sacks in the NFL, the 3rd worst Pressure% (aka 30th best) 10th from the best in missed tackles.

You clearly didn't watch football this year. The Niners, especially when Purdy was out, basically strapped their offense to CMC and ran with it. In the Falcons game CMC had 31 touches for 201 yards, the rest of the team had 25 touches for 123 yards.
Guaranteed you didn't watch a single Rams game, aside from the NFC championship game.

They gave up yards in bunches all season. Their secondary got absolutely torched. And they were not good at stopping the run.

They were 13th in yards per play. THe stat is there. If what you said was true, they would have given up way more yards per play. And I did that instead of Total Yards because I wanted to better portray the stat.

Forgot they were 10th in points allowed. Forgot that.

Nearly top 10 in any metric teams look at for defense, but they're mediocre at best. Lol

THey weren't bottom 10 in DADOT (Average Depth per target)

Just because they werten't the Texans, Broncos or Seahawks, doesn't mean they were bad.
