He wqould be better with Megatron, but with that you'd have to take Al Morris from him and I don't know if that's enough of a swing.

Yeah, Morris is a really good back and Helu could probably start for a lot of teams.

RG3 needs a lot of work. He has crazy potential but he isn't close to being a top QB at this point.

RG3 needs to really work on a bunch of stuff. I'm not sure he would be that much better with Calvin. He is having a lot of issues reading coverages and pressures.

He's having problem with pressure because our interior line is terrible at pass blocking. No name scrubs for Denver and Dallas blew up our interior line and got pressure all day long. We have had absolutely zero pocket to step up into this year. Our only weapon through the air is Jordan Reed and he's a rookie TE. RG3 has obviously had is issues at times this year, but some of it is our pathetic wide receivers as well. There wasn't a Redskin wideout that consistently created separation yesterday and when they did they simply dropped the ball anyways.

With CJ, if he's one on one, you can just throw it up to him no matter what. Hell, if he's double covered, he can come down with the catch as well. Plus, having him allows every other Lions receiver to have 1 on 1 coverage.

A QB can often times make their offensive line look better. RG3 is supposed to be quick and shifty. He should be able to create more time for himself and his wide receivers similar to what Wilson does with an average line. RG3 is just really raw right now and I would worry as a fan if he will ever get the mental aspect of the game down. Its still early and his physical tools will allow him to be a very good QB but to get to that elite status he needs more.

Still better than 3 of RG3's games....

RG3 QBR by game:

15.7
43
29.8
38.1
37.2
91.8
7.5

7.5

Oh, and that is without losing your top two receivers before the game.

So let's see, Stafford has a QBR of 66.2...which is only 76% better than RG3 for the year. Pretty close...

How were the numbers last year when RG3 was healthy?

It was a mistake to play RG3 this year so early. So many of us were saying it all offseason. What the Redskins organization has done to that kid is criminal.

He is quick and shifty when he's not 8 months removed from an ACL tear and playing with a brace on his leg. He obviously needs to get better at movement in the pocket, but his inability to get outside of the pocket to escape pressure when needed is affecting him. I watch the all 22 video from the games and he's certainly needs to get better going through progressions. The last couple games before Denver he was much better at it than early in the season, but I will have to go back and watch vs. Denver. The telecast seemed to imply there weren't many open receivers.

Our line is preventing him from being able to step up into the pocket and step into a lot of throws. Obvisouly RG3 shares in some of the blame as well. We don't have a wide receiver that makes tough catches. We have 1 WR with the speed to get separation, but he can't catch the ball. We have cap space and if there is a number 1 WR on the market, we must look into that. Pierre Garcon is not that. And he's doesn't fit our offense unfortunately.

Megatron would make a huge difference for any QB. He demands 2 and 3 defenders. Even his short intermediate routes, he's a threat to take for 50 yards at any time. Just the most dangerous WR I can ever remember.

He shares in the blame.

Having an injured leg isn't simply about not being able to run or not. Having an injured leg affects your passing as well.

Brady and Palmer both had leg injuries and had significantly worse years in the year after the leg injury.

Didn't you say he was going to be fully healthy at the start of the season though?

I will hvae to take your word on the fact with his ability to read a defense. I have seen 3 Redskin games this year and he just hasn't look good in either of them. Its not just pocket presense but I see a diminished accuracy level. I hope its just an injury issue and htat he will get better. Redskins have a bright future and I still believe they should not have played RG3 this year...at least early on.

Full disclosure, haven't watched the skins much this year so I can't speak on this year but RG3 last year read through his progression like a running QB normally does. Stare at your 1, look at 2, look to see if you can run, oh ****.

Every player worth his soul (sorry Derrick Rose) will want to play as quickly as possible. RG3 is a fighter and he thinks he can play regardless of the circumstance. The organization needed to be smart and they failed at that miserably.

That isn't what Wilson and Kaep do. RG3 is just behind them in terms of reading defenses but he probably has the highest set of raw tools in the NFL.

Im not a doctor. I said if he was healthy he should play. Even if he was 100% physically, it still takes time to return from that type of injury (see Brady, Marino, Palmer). Hes been really inconsistent.

I'd like to take this opportunity to mention again that Kaep has the third highest QBR this year and since he became a starting QB only Peyton Manning has a higher QBR than him. STUD!!!
