REAL FOOTBALL Thread

I mean I don't even care about the backfield. Like don't get me wrong, top talent and arguably 2 of the best safety releases in the game. But it doesn't matter if you have that WR corps. By my math that's probably 3 of the top 5 WR and 6 of the top 20. At least 5 of the top 20 depending on where you rank Sanders. I'd go 5 wide half the time.

It's also ignoring Cook and Gronk.

There's no way that team doesn't score 60 a game. Oh you hurt Brady and Brees, here comes Matt Ryan.

Defense leaves a bit to be desired. but it's hardly a slouch. I'd pick whoever is the best at getting to the QB and making turnovers. Because that's all that matters. With that offense you want them back on the field. You'll win more games getting your defense off the field as quickly as possible than letting that offense march down the field abusing the other team.

Clowney reportedly should sign soon with the Saints being a serious contender. This guy is quickly becoming my mist hated player. It's being reported that he is offended by the thought of playing for less than 15 million. These are the type of people that I hope wins up penniless and homeless. I still remember when he was drafted and he was offended because "I am better than all the else people keep saying about me"..... he was drafted #1 overall......

ESPN reporting Brady wanted to sign with the Saints and was waiting in the offseason to see if Brees retired. The interest apparently was mutual. I have to assume that means Gronk would have signed too. I will gladly take Brees but I can only imagine what Payton could do with Gronk.... and Jared Cook.

But I thought Hill was the future?

Thanks for winding up the DQ era. It’s time

I mean the problem that the Falcons have had is they've sucked and then went on late season winning streaks to give some hope. They should have just tanked at the end of last season. 2 straight years of end of the season winning streaks move them out of the top 5 and into the middle of the pack.

Pretty obvious they didn’t.

Just unprepared. You are told to attack the football as a front lineman on the Hands team

Quinn swears they knew the rule but the tape is just so damning. Multiple Falcons just standing and watching the ball go 10 yards. I've never seen anything like that on the pro level.

It amazes me the Atlanta can have that much talent on offense and still struggle to move the ball at times. I'd like to say it's all coaching, but Atl has finished higher than 10th in scoring offense only once in the last 7 years. Yes their defense is trash too, but they should be scoring more points than they have been. Maybe an opportunity to move on from Matty Ice if they can get a top 3 pick. Get the local kid in Trevor Lawrence and try to rebuild that franchise.
