Projected HIGH for GB / SF game is -7. And getting to -30.... Coldest game in history?

Honestly cant blame some of the GB fans for not going.

You could give me free tickets and i wouldnt go unless its press box with heat.

Could very well be. Coldest game on record was the ice bowl at Lambeau -13 with a -48 wind chill. Coldest windchill was in Cincy 1982 like -56 or something like that. I have a hunch that sunday won't quite reach those level of miserable, but it will be in the top 5 coldest almost guaranteed. As the number 5 game was -4 with a -24 wind chill.

Baby. Bright side is there probably won't be a niner fan there.

BTW for those who love weather it's gonna be down to -9 with a -21 windchill up in New Hampshire. Tomorrow night it's gonna get down to -23. Who knows what that is with windchill.

Weather conditions make that game a complete unknown. On a neutral field in good weather I think the 49ers win by at least a TD. Now, I'm not sure what to think. I still think the 49ers are going to win but its realy tough.

The funny thing is that the Niners are actually better suited to play in the cold than the Packers are. We have some semblance of a running game now with Lacy but our home field advantage is probably not an advantage at all.

Your defense is giong to give up a lot especially because Jolly isn't in (what else is new). I just hope its a real football game and not completely shut down by the weather.

Yeah maybe. The weather might end up just being a neutralizer for the offenses. Who knows. I still expect you guys to come out on top though. I'm just happy to have one more game :)

Depends on if Kaepernick has any guts at all. If I'm the Niners, I go all in. Big formations, (pull out Crabtree or Boldin and sub in a blocking TE or OT) read option cram it down their throats. They have the offense to just abosultely wreck that game.

Downside for the Niners is when the game is that cold catching a football is like catching a rock, given Kaepernick's sucking at throwing with any touch, I don't expect many 3rd down and long conversions that don't break someone's fingers. What will suck for the Niners is getting through with being hurt then have to go to Seattle next week.

Playoff wins:

Kaep 2
Ryan 1

Does the truth hurt buddy? If the Niners lose this game it will have a lot to do with Kaepernick, he should be all they need to win this. His running ability, their overall running ability and their D should make it an easy win with the freezing temps.

As a Bears fan, I'm happy with the Cutler deal - the long list of crap the Bears have had at QB is well known. Offense is set now, time to focus on defense.

I do kinda agree with Zito.

Kap can be very inaccurate at times, and if the weather is really bad, it could affect the passing game of the Niners.

Rodgers has played in that before and their players are used to it.

So i can see where he's coming from.

I would take Kaep over Ryan long term, but right now, Ryan is better IMO. He has just as much success as Kaep did last year if he's on the same team. Having a defense and a run game makes it easier for a QB to succeed.

Yeah, it's just the going rate for QBs. Cutler can win you a Super Bowl, he has the talent. Need some more talent around him, but he's a fine QB. It would be difficult to find a replacement who's better.

How about one they had on their roster who did better than he did?

Cutler is maybe a top 15-20 QB, with everything around him, he can win a SB, but he's not gonna get there alone.

Doesnt matter, as long as Rodgers is in that division, they are playing for a Wild Card.

Ryan is a better QB than Kap but Kap has a superior team around him.

At least for now until Kap gets a huge deal and we'll see what happens when that happens.

Marshall, Jeffrey, and Forte. Bennett is also a decent TE. Cutler has awesome weapons overall.
