REAL FOOTBALL Thread

RG3 is gonna be a top 10 QB most likely. But Luck is special. RG3 does not have Luck's brain, and that's what seperates the tippy top from the rest. Having the total package ability wise plus having the head to be intelligent and creative.

That is what my man has!

Um, yeah. Im' not gonna touch the "my man" comment. But Kaepernick doesn't have the brain or the arm yet. He struggles with touch passes and he doesn't have the pure intellect to read defenses and anticipate yet. I would liken Kaepernick to RG3 in terms of intelligence. Neither are dumb, but they don't belong in the same discussion as Luck.

I wish I could find the thread where Gilesfan said RG3>Luck.

Me too. I don't consider Luck a first tier QB. I think he has the potential to get there, but I don't think that he will. I remember saying he will likely be a better version of Matt Ryan.

Robert Griffin III voted by teammates as winner of Ed Block courage award for overcoming ACL/LCL surgery. #Redskins

Damn, teammates hate him.

You realize that Kaep is actually a really intelligent person right? He just didn't play in a traditional offense in Nevada so he is still learning. He got so much better this year. He is already a top 10 QB and he hasn't even had two years of starting yet. Every year he will be slightly better.

So is RG3. Recruited by Stanford. 3.7 college GPA. Graduated in 3 years and worked on masters. Tried to get a waiver from the NCAA to attend law school while playing.

I don't think I've ever said he wasn't intelligent. I don't know much about his background. I think Zito is just making the blanket statement that its clear non-white QB's aren't smart which I disagree with.

BTW, Kaep got the same score on the wonderlic as Luck and also beat Ryan by 5 points.

Kaep isn't smart!!! He has no pure intellect!

I dont know enough about RG3 to say he is or isnt a leader but there are some concerns with him.

You dont hear this type of stuff from Luck, Wilson, or Kap as well.

All of them are good leaders are what i have heard.

LMAO what a clear moronic statement. First off I'm gonna teach you and Gilesfan something. Whenever anyone talks about intelligence and football, they're talking about football IQ. Not Wonderlic, etc. You can memorize every play, every small thing possible, but the guys who're truly great make smart decisions under fire. Ryan Fitzpatrick may be the smartest QB in the NFL. Blaine Gabbert scored very high on the wonderlic, no football intelligence. Peyton Manning and Drew Brees have the same Wonderlic score as Mark Sanchez, that shoudl let you know how much pure intelligence has to to with being a QB.

I love how Zito comes across as this all knowing football guy and then says that Vick is an accurate QB.
