REAL FOOTBALL Thread

LOL. that was a block well after the reception was made. Completely different than running into a defender before the catch is made.

I can say the same about Welker as well. Many people thought Edelman was dirty as well, but it doesn't fit you narrative as always.

Belecheat is a whiner and always has been since Spygate. Hasn't won one since then......hmmmmmm.

The plays are not even similar. One is an illegal pick on an unsuspecting defensive back. The other is a legal block down field.

Whether Bellichek is a cheater or not (I don't care about him) doesn't mean he was wrong in this instance.

Not when I deal with ignorance.

Look at it again, the whole play, Talib put his shoulders up. I think Welker got the worst of it. What Edelman done was dirty as heck, but Denver has too much class to whine about playing football.

Start at that 1:37 mark and watch it. Talib saw Welker all the way.

He may have saw him, he may have not. But you aren't allowed as a WR to run directly at a defensive player and block him before the ball is completed.

WTF is dirty about a legal block?

You are arguing about a play that was legal and somehow calling it a pick even though the pass was completed 5 seconds prior.

That was a clear illegal pick play. Obviously Welker didn't mean to injure him, but it was completely illegal and should have been flagged. The Pats, however, run similar picks constantly, but the one by Welker was particularly bad.

people in the booth called it a pick and various articles as well. Every team picks, just don't get caught. Edelman jacked up DRC on a possible pick/legal block but I do agree with you, just a solid football play, just like Welker's block/pick/obstruction and he wasn't flagged.

He was not trying to hurt Talib and that is my bottom line especially when you are MUCH smaller than that player. And Belecheat whines about it but when you accuse him and his team of playing dirty he gets angry and say it is just football. Great coach but as classless as they come when he is criticized.

I don't think Welker tried to hurt Talib, he did performed an illegal pick to an unsuspecting defensive back.

Yes,most if not all teams run pick plays. Denver is just better at it and does it much more often. Typically, they aren't the variety to injure another player, bc this was a longer devleloping one and the corner was running full speed.

The Edelman block is not a pick. Do you understand what a pick is? A pick is not made after a completion is made. There is a big difference; one is legal, one isnt.

I agree with you on Edelmen, but the press and those announcers said differently. Welker was a pick and what I am mad about is that Belecheat thought he was intentionally hurting Talib, if that is the case, I would have Virgil Green take him out instead, then he would have something to gripe about (Temple old basketball coach Cheney rules if you remembered what he did)

Bush League. disgusting.

So we have turned into the Buffalo Bills lite. At least Marv Levy made the Super Bowl with consistency. So glad Harbaugh is cementing his legacy as a runner up.
