Good move for them. Dont' see a better fit on the market and the more weapons the better. The Niners would do well drafting a WR in the first though. Try to get someone who can stretch the field opening up the intermediates for Crabtree.

The 49ers current front office sucks at drafting wide receivers. Granted it's a small sample size. We have been wanting a speed guy for years now and nobody has been able to do that.

South Carolina DE Jadeveon Clowney clocked forty times of 4.47 and 4.48 at the NFL Scouting Combine.

If Clowney isn't there at 6 I want to trade out. There's a ton of very good prospects, but JMO only one elite I won't be upset if we can't, anyone we take should instantly make either our OL or DL better. but with guys like Lewan, likely one of Barr/Mack, Ealy, Tuitt, Martin, Nix, etc. Available in the 10-15 range, we have a chance to grab some more picks and then still get an impact player. Hopefully CLowney falls though. Hopefully we see Bridgewater, Matthews, Bortles, Manziel, and Watkins go 1-5 in any order, or sub in Robinson into that group. If Clowney falls we'll be great. I've even debated the idea of trading up for Clowney because he's so perfect, but Falcons have too many holes on the OL and DL to do that.

Many scouts on record saying this is the deepest draft in recent memory. Starters can be had all over the place. I am always a fan of the accumulation of picks, Something TD and I don't share apparently....

I am impressed with Donald. Thats moving for a biggun.... I'd also like Hageman if he lasts to the second day...

Yeah Hageman, Donald, Yankey, and Richardson are all guys who I hope we can get. I don't think Hageman falls that far, but interior linemen in the Draft sometimes fall.

Also some mocks are having Matthews Clowney going 1-2 and then the 3 QBs going next. I know it's not a need. But if Watkins is there at 6, Falcons better trade out ot a desperate team (Lions) or take Watkins. WR isn't close to a need, but can you imagine Julio, Roddy, and Sammy? We'd be able to throw all over anyone.

Falcons have WAYYYYYY too many holes to trade up.

I'd take Robinson. I think he is going to be a superstar. Not only because of the measurables, but the tape speaks volumes as well.

I'm not in love with him, I don't think he's one of the 3 best players in the draft. I think that's Clowney, Matthews and Watkins, and I'd rather take one of them than Robinson, JMO. I mean physically Robinson is awesome and he'd be a massive improvement over any Falcons OT (though who to put at RT and LT between him and Baker would be an interesting debate. I think Baker has more of the LT skillset right now)

Browns owner CONFIRMS they had talks with 49ers to trade for Harbaugh.

Stop, our forum insider already said it didn't happen and there's nothing to see.
Why do you not take his word?
What would the Browns GM know, anyway?

Well technically we probably won't be getting one of the three best players at 6 realistically... I think the three best players are Clowney, Watkins, Mack, with Robinson\Matthews at 4.
