BTW Zito...where is all this evidence that Kaepernick is getting hit a lot.

Cause **** like this happens

Wow...one hit is your evidence? Sounds like you were talking out of your ass. Not unusual of course. Ryan has been hit much worse than Kaepernick the last two years. Better start looking for another QB.

Well problem with Kaepernick is you can't track the number of times he got hit on runs. Or the immense amount of pain that comes from those hits. Ryan getting pushed down in the pocket and Kaepernick getting tackled in the field are 2 different monsters.

I'll give Kaepernick one thing compared to his peers, he does go out of bounds seemingly more than other running QBs. That said it only takes one nasty hit. One Ngata blast to the knee and the rest of the good gets hurt.

And how many QB's have had bad injuries in the pocket. There is no way you can evidence your claim that Kaepernick is at more risk than a guy like Ryan. I have seen countless times Ryan getting hammered this year in the pocket.

Yeah for real. Brady was most definitely scrambling outside the pocket when Bernard Pollard ended his season.

Ryan never took a hit like Kaepernick took from Massoqui (sp?)

Could go on, but my point was comparing hits. And guys can get hurt in the pocket, but more QBs who get hurt are runners, yes or no?

NFL Salary cap is going to explode to 140M by 2016 according to Shefters sources.

The numbers for new deals are going to be huge now.

I saw up to 150M.

I wonder who will be the first 30 million QB?

Per year.

Yeah, I meant to write 150.

Kaep could ask for 18-20M and it might end up still being a discount.

Cap at 133.

10-million increase.

FA should be interesting.

Hardy/Folk tagged.

Monroe, Byrd, Vontae Davis, Veldheer or Houston, Mack or Ward are others who could get tagged too.

Jimmy Graham given non xclusive franchise tag. Gladly take two first round picks and spend the cap space. Didn't need an all pro te to win the super bowl. Did need a defense that created turnovers and a good running game though.

If I'm the Pats or Seahawks I'm all over that. To me it's a worthwhile gamble for a shot at the superbowl. 2 1s for one of the best impact players in the NFL, you have to love that. Also could you imagine Graham and Gronk (if he can get on the field) on the same field? That would be a nightmare matchup.
