REAL FOOTBALL Thread

Lions are definitely solid. l still don't see them going far with Goff, but I guess the NFC is pretty weak outside of Philly, Dallas, and San Fran, so who knows?

Packers cost me a chance at $500. Needed Goff to get 258 yards passing. He had 160 through 2 quarters, but of course the Packers couldn't bother to put together an offense until the 4th quarter.

Love was not ready for that game. Looked awful out there in first half.

But a good team will do that to a young inexperienced QB.

Love isn't turning the ball over, but he's been pretty inaccurate so far. Seems like his annointment after 2 weeks was a bit premature. Granted, the Packers are going to have to get him some more weapons. Can't do what they did to Rodgers. He isn't that guy.

He's smart

He plays into the meat head persona that people have given him, though

I don't think he's smart, but lots of great football coaches weren't smart, they knew how to evaluate talent including on their coaching staff.

Tony Dungy isn't smart, but the man won a ton of games.

What in the world makes you think Tony Dungy isn't intelligent?

Desmond Ridder ain’t it.

This offensive performance is garbage

One of the easiest things in sports to recognize is when your QB has “it” or not. People pretend like you need years worth of starts but in reality it’s something that stands out very quickly.

Ridder is bad. Holds onto the ball way too long, makes bad reads, heinously inaccurate on some throws. Falcons are in a terrible spot without a QB and not much hope of getting one anytime soon.

This coming from the guy saying Kenny Pickett is a dark horse SB QB!! LOL… Steelers dark horse SB candidates is still one of the funniest takes in this thread

Sadly, I was hoping Ridder would continue improving as he did at the end of the year last year and the first 2 games this year… now he’s just regressing even worse. It’s pretty apparent he’s not it now.

Agreed but there was still no realistic difference maker available… you keep just ignoring that part.
