Really Being Pro-Life

But it isn't her body either...the developing child is in her body and dependent upon her.

Most pro-lifers I know aren't the types you mention. I pastor a church full of adopted children and a congregation that is intimately involved in all manner of local, regional, and international charities. It's just life for so many of them...

Yep. Most of us that are fervently pro-life are also active members of active churches. I can't think of a single person in my church that isn't involved in some type of charity ministry.

We're taking food to those kids houses, bringing them Christmas gifts, putting roofs and porch steps and wheelchair ramps on their houses, helping with their heating bills, buying them clothes and school supplies at the start of the school year, helping pregnant women with health expenses, fostering and adopting kids that need it, and helping in a hundred other ways.

Every one of those things I listed is an active ministry at just my little church in a little backwater town. Many others are doing even more.

Yes to all of the above. I'm probably the exception on that though.

I don't understand why some pro-life people care so much about the baby before it's born but then don't give a **** about it after it is born? They're for the death penalty or wanting to eliminate social programs that help the less fortunate that do have babies. I'm against the death penalty, for social programs that help the less fortunate and pro-choice with a personal belief of pro-life. I would prefer we didn't have abortions but at the same time, it isn't my body so I don't feel I should tell someone else how to live their life.

Very few people I know are both pro-choice AND against the Obamacare mandate

I think a lot of people feel the way CK86 does because most of the pro-life crowd is also voting for lower taxes and a smaller social safety net. I can only speak for myself, but I would rather contribute to any of the ministries I listed above where exactly 100% of the money is used for the selected cause. There are no salaries to pay, no buildings to pay for, no wheels to grease, no special interests to pay off. Government is incapable of that type of efficiency, and requiring everyone to donate via taxes doesn't incentivize a higher level of efficiency.

Yeah we saw your thread where you had issues with people who don't like white sumpremacists fascists and Nazis

We all saw what you went to bat for after one of those 3 killed a woman

But good job on taking that away from those tweets.
