Russia Collusion Scandal (aka A Leftist fantasy)

I hope we get a more detailed description of what "the assessed poltical motivation of those who hired steele".

How much detail did the fbi provide that was at its disposal.

So kompromat on Clinton offered to Page and Papadopoulos.

At some point, however, the Russians made the judgment that they would release this themselves (via Wikileaks) rather than share it with the campaign. Of course we know the reason why. The patriotic Trump campaign people told them this would be illegal interference in the American political system and that they could not accept it and would be reporting all this to the FBI.

For the sake of clarity: the above paragraph is not in the memo.

The hyping up of page and papa is easily the funniest part of thin conspiracy.

Also dropped on a Saturday afternoon.

Like that surprisingly unsatisfying first **** after you've been constipated for a few days.

It is there. Bottom of p 5 and top of p 6. "DoJ in fact informed the court accurately that Steele was hired by politically-motivated persons and entities and that his research appeared intended for us to discredit Trump's campaign."

Also p 5 (and underlined). "The FBI speculates that the identified U.S. person was likely looking for information that could be used to discredit Candidate #1's campaign." This seems to be a direct quote from the application.

But who my friend? Who? The fbi left that part out.

We were promised a categorical disassembly of the Republican memo.

This literally does nothing of the sort, not even if you squint.

They have procedures they follow to avoid "unmasking" U.S. persons not directly at issue in the application. Hence the reference to U.S. person and Candidate #1. I don't have a problem with them sticking with protocol.

The Republican memo was a dud and it blew off Schiff's arm.

It was crafted to facilitate the firing of Rosenstein. A cooly crafted attempt to impede an investigation that imo there is a compelling public interest in letting proceed. Fortunately, it was also incompetently crafted.

Thank god for the keystone cops and their chief Devin Nunes. He obviously learned from the best.

Let's unpack this a little. Who's the they and them in this scenario?
