Trump is not spared. Wolff writes that Thomas Barrack Jr, a billionaire who is one of the president’s oldest associates, allegedly told a friend: “He’s not only crazy, he’s stupid.” Barrack denied that to the New York Times.

Btw, Barrack is the friend who recommended that Manafort be hired as campaign manager. With friends like that...

Did I say that. Something need not speak to collusion to be a very grave threat to Mr. Trump.

But the information that I expect to come out will show he is compromised by his financial dependency upon Russians.
 
Vegas needs a betting line for when this will venture its way to Twitter. Will Trump make it through the night without blowing up on him? Or will we get more early-morning fun?

I'd be interested to learn what type of crime would endanger Trump if not collusion.

I believe garden variety money laundering and any related violations of tax laws if provable in a court of law would be sufficient.

I also believe even a legal relationship with Russian entities that showed financial dependency upon those entities would be yugely problematic in the court of public opinion. For example, if a Russian implicitly or explicitly guaranteed the loan floated by Deutsche in 2010.
