Russia Collusion Scandal (aka A Leftist fantasy)

I am shocked that the NY Times is coming out with an article that is in essence a rebuke to the rights assertion about the importance of the Dossier. I never could have seen this coming! :)

I will add that it was appropriate for the FBI to take an interest in the contents of the dossier, with the provision that the allegations and the reliability of the sources for those allegations should have been matters for investigation and verification.

My understanding is that the dossier material is analogous to raw, unprocessed intelligence data. It is up to the analysts (such as those in the FBI) to properly analyze them. Perhaps they should be discarded. Perhaps not.

All reasonable questions and I'm sure there will be answers for such a pivotal piece of the Russia collusion investigation.

I 100% agree with this. If the claims were verifiable and the sources were known its a completely different ball game and hte Dossier doesn't get disputed at all.

I think Papadopoulos has been on he radar for a while. I myself have wondered about the timing and circumstances of his arrest.

If he was aware of the Wikileaks data dump months before it happened how do you not immediately detain Papa after Wikileaks sends out its first wires? It doesn't make any sense.

The dossier is raw intelligence. Some of the details are wrong. But there is a lot in there that anticipated information that was subsequently revealed.

Could be that Deep State dropped the ball. Or took its eye off the ball. Whatever sporting analogy you prefer.

Wasn't it mostly flight information for Carter Paige?

What else was truly verified that was key?

With respect to Papadopoulos, I think one possibility is that Deep State let him go about his business in the hopes of learning more.

The Times article also indicates that "F.B.I. officials disagreed in 2016 about how aggressively and publicly to pursue the Russia inquiry before the election."

Papadopoulos btw was an idiot for going drinking with an Aussie. Personally, there are three types of people that I avoid drinking with--Scots, Aussies and Scandinavians. A man's gotta know his limitations.

What does that have to do with the central purpose of this whole damn investigation? This extraneous relationship nonsense is getting tiresome. WHERE IS THE COLLUSION?

Uh, it's not material that the ****ing campaign manager had an undisclosed 10-figure financial relationship with a Russian puppet political party? Or, as we've subsequently learned, that he was deep in the hole to a Russian oligarch and sought to use his position to "get whole?" How is that extraneous?
