Russia Collusion Scandal (aka A Leftist fantasy)

Whatever Trump Is Hiding Is Hurting All of Us Now Thomas Friedman, NYT

Putin used cyberwarfare to poison American politics, to spread fake news, to help elect a chaos candidate, all in order to weaken our democracy. We should be using our cyber-capabilities to spread the truth about Putin — just how much money he has stolen, just how many lies he has spread, just how many rivals he has jailed or made disappear — all to weaken his autocracy. That is what a real president would be doing right now.

Reading specilation Mueller closing noose on Manafred. Implicating his daughter and other family members.

He and Trump ho back to the 19i0s.

Somewhat lost in the flood of recriminations, however, was news that the Russian trolls favored one political pundit far in excess of their support for Sanders—and roughly half as much as Donald Trump.

(Of course, Sanders and Trump are explicitly mentioned in Mueller’s indictment. Reid is not. This could explain some of the media coverage.)

According to an analysis of the raw data by Law&Crime, Joy-Ann Reid–recently and glowingly profiled as a heroine of the #Resistance by the New York Times–received some 267 total retweets by the private sector Russian troll brigade.
....
In fact, Joy-Ann Reid has made somewhat of a sport out of criticizing Sanders’ over the Russian issue in particular. Last year, she criticized Sanders and his supporters for repeating claims of Democratic National Committee fraud as little more than a Russian plot.

All in all, Reid was elevated by Russian trolls above Sanders by a ratio of roughly five-to-one.

Its fantastic - Between these types of instances and covering Russian organized rallys the MSM were unwittingly complicit in Russias plans.

Some reports that Person A in the Zwaan pleading is Konstantin Kilimnik. A little background on KK

http://www.businessinsider.com/kons...-emails-with-paul-manafort-about-trump-2017-9

and

Note especially the information about his claim that he played a role in changing the GOP platform on Ukraine.

Some dots that Mueller might be trying to connect with respect to possible quid pro quo: KK used as intermediary for offering "private briefings" on Trump Ukraine and sanctions policy and KK used to steer through and verify the change in GOP Ukraine platform.

And for good measure indications that he has KGB ties.

It would appear that Pavel Manafortov was trying to swing some sort of quid pro quo: change to GOP platform plus "private briefings" in exchange for campaign help plus maybe some "financial considerations" related to debt/stolen money owed to Oleg Derispaka.

The big question that hangs out there is whether Pavel Manafortov was freelancing or acting with the knowledge and encouragement of other members of the Trump campaign.

It doesn't look good for Trump that he continued to communicate with Pavel Manafortov until February 2017, at which point attorneys for both Trump and Manafortov insisted that those conversations come to an end.

It is also interesting to note that Trump has told associates that he as been feeling more confident of late that Manafortov will not flip. Why would it matter to him whether Manafortov flips or not.

One email recovered by Mueller's team, which Manafortov sent to Kilimnik in April, reads:

“I assume you have shown our friends my media coverage, right?”

“Absolutely,” Kilimnik responds,“Every article.”

“How do we use to get whole” Manafortov asks.“Has OVD operation seen?”

Then on July 7, 2016, reportedly using a Trump campaign account, Manafortov continues to send emails to Kilimnik, including one referring to the possibility of briefing Oleg Derispaka about the presidential campaign.

It's interesting what information Mueller allows to leak. We know he can shut the faucet and not a drop escapes. He allows just what information he wants to be known.
