Russia Collusion Scandal (aka A Leftist fantasy)

i think the case is pretty well established by now...it includes

1) financial elements...the negotiations for the tower in Moscow envisioned profits in the hundreds of millions for Trump and a penthouse for Putin...very cozy...and denied throughout the campaign...note that the Moscow tower is but one of a number of financial entanglements between Trump and his minions and the Rooskies

2) collaboration between GRU (the hacker), WikiLeaks (which received and disseminated the stolen goods) and the campaign (which knew about the whole thing and sought to find out what WikiLeaks had and provided advice on its dissemination)

3) quid pro quo for 1 & 2 above in the form of policy changes (GOP platform on Ukraine), including sanctions...it is likely that some of the motivation for the various backchannels was to implement the quid pro quo while circumventing normal U.S. government review of such policy changes

4) other...and here i include possible collaboration on messaging, sharing of polling information, etc etc

3 is basically we dont like your policy so it must be driven by collusion.

Keep it going

Jerome Corsi has been trying to save his own ass for months. Even SCO knows his whole divine enlightenment schtick was garbage.

imo he is mostly trying to cash in with his book and other activities...the profit motive...or the need to pay lawyers motive

a second motivation might be to share with others what he knows about Mueller's investigation...via the book and his various media appearances...this is what Mueller knows...this is how he knows it...i think there is some of that going on

Independent of any other considerations of quid pro quo, backchannels, and obstruction of justice after the fact, how does the Trump campaign—>Stone—>Wikileaks thing not look like a criminal conspiracy all on its own?

I find it hard to believe there is still anyone arguing whether there was collusion/conspiracy.
What a waste of time they are. Rumsfeld called them "dead enders"

is immaterial at this point.

...................

Whether Trump himself gets impeached or goes to prison - His campaign (not HRC's or The former Gov of NM) the Trump Campaign colluded to conspire with Russia to tilt the 2016 election
Which is/was against the law.

A High Crime .

I personally don't think the House will impeach and I don't see Trump getting re elected
We'll see

Surely then Mueller will have enough evidence to take him down since it's so obvious to 57

Looks like damn fine investigative work to me!

We still have yet to have an open discussion of the content of those releases.

the object of the Special Counsel was never to "take down" Trump
The object was to investigate and identify Russian Interference in the 2016 election
I think I showed 35 indictments and quite a few prison terms and cooperating witness'.

You are aware the one time Chair of the Trump Campaign is in solitary confinement looking a prison the rest of his life !

Re-watched All The Presidents Men last week.
Haven't read the book since it came out --- the story is eerily similar

conspiracy to traffic in stolen goods...to weaponize stolen goods

BuzzFeed News is today publishing a cache of internal Trump Organization documents that lay bare the secret negotiations that continued long after Cohen claimed the deal had been abandoned. The documents, many of which have been exclusively obtained by BuzzFeed News, reveal that — despite Trump’s claim that the development was never more than a passing notion — the effort to get the tower built was long-running, detail-oriented and directly entwined with the ups and downs of his campaign.

Useful Manafartov timeline.

Aug. 2, 2016. Manafort, Gates and Kilimnik meet at the Grand Havana Room in New York, a members-only cigar club near Trump Tower.

It’s this meeting that the Mueller attorney Weissman described as being “very much to the heart” of the question of collusion.

“[T]here is an in-person meeting with someone who the Government has certainly proffered to this Court in the past, is understood by the FBI, assessed to be — have a relationship with Russian intelligence,” he said, referring to Kilimnik. “And there is an in-person meeting at an unusual time for somebody who is the campaign chairman to be spending time, and to be doing it in person.”

"That meeting and what happened at that meeting is of significance to the special counsel,” he added.

Later in the transcript published Thursday, it’s revealed that Gates and Manafort took pains to leave the meeting separately from Kilimnik, in an effort, Weissman suggested, to mask their interactions with him.

What was discussed at the meeting? It's not clear.

I must say, Roger Stone and Jerome Corsi turning on each other while the prosecutors circle is the kind of karmic justice that we rarely get to enjoy.

Witch Hunt!

I hope that since the Dems and Mueller have spent as much time investigating this collusion thing like the GOP did for Benghazi, that they produce as many indictments and arrests as the Republicans did for that successful investigation.

Benghazi can also be used as a verb.
