Just checked. It was 5.82.
And the one time the Braves surpassed that number, the pitchers gave up 13.

Yep. 9 earned. The only game where they gave up ANY unearned runs. Overall, the defense only had two errors (both in that game). Caught 50% of the runners trying to steal. Turned five double-plays. etc etc Certainly played well enough.

In game 1 alone Medlen gave up 2 or 3 runs that he shouldn't have because of Gattis and Justin missing fly balls. Those plays aren't scored as errors but that's defense costing the Braves a chance to win.
And dont' forget that Chris Johnson had a great series with the bat as well. CJ and Gattis were pretty much the offense the entire series.
You guys are suck a bunch of freaking whiners. Spring training games haven't even started yet and you guys are already ready to cancel the damn season. GTFO with this negative ****!

Did you notice the thread title? This is what the freaking discussion is about.
Braves hit a buzzsaw in HanRam. That was our biggest killer. Other guys stepped up massively for thme as well but HanRam's insanity created many problems cause we had to pitch to Uribe's and Puig's strengths. We couldn't pitch (for lack of a better term) around them. The Dodgers went to St. Louis and then HanRam crapped the bed. Pitching for sure plays a part in that, but so does just dumb bad luck.
The problem with Gattis and Johnson was they only had singles. Our power went out which sucked. We literally had 5 extrabase hits no hitter with 2 (Freddie, Justin, and Simmons with 1 double, Elliot with a triple, Jason with a homer) And kicker is if Fredi treats the game like a post season game and sends Kimbrel out there for 2, we may still have won it.
The biggest hurdle for us, is our manager. Hopefully he learned from his mistakes.
Does anyone think this team (as it stands) can get past the first round?
