This is obvious what you are doing and I've always said that tariffs will increase costs on the tariffed good. Fotunately, Canada doesn't produce anything super unique so there are actual other suppliers out there that change the equation.

Can you point out where I said there would be no increase in costs as a result of tariffs?
But what will happen because Canada CANNOT lose their US relationships is that Canada will cut some prices and the final 'increase' will be minimal and not what you believe it will be.
ANd then long term (6 months or so) what will happen is Canada will cave and do exactly what Trump and team asked them nicely to do before this started.
