Second ('Third') Trump Presidency Thread

He’s not saying anything wrong here, but I deeply question the intent. Nobody should blindly follow anything or anybody. They cannot, however, become experts on all the things people are experts at. If my doctor tells me to take a medication or get a vaccine because decades of research and clinical experience suggests it’s right, it is not wise for me to instead find the first source that will tell me that doctor is full of shit and to just cook my food in beef tallow or something. People should be skeptical of appeals to authority, but they also need to recognize they aren’t themselves experts because they Googled something once.
“…and by the way, I can walk down the street and diagnose children with mitochondrial challenges just by looking at them.”

Looks like Trump forcing dem leadership to start getting tougher on crime.

Overton window shifting rightward and will continue to do so as Vance takes the reins.

The amusing thing is that it would be EASY to significantly reduce crime (>80%) in less than a month across the whole country if people stopped being idiots and recognized who is committing the crimes.

The actual law abiding citizens benefit most from what you pretend is happening.
The main problem I have with things like sending the military and all the federal agencies to DC is it’s treated like there is only door #1 of unfettered crime or door #2 of a police state. I am looking to advocate for finding a third option that might be more sustainable and less extreme.

You need extreme at first to stop the shiftiness that exists today. Then your solutions can be entertained.
