But I disagree with your 2nd point. I think a politician who campaigns on ending the boomer handouts would be quite popular. Every politician has wandered to the olds, but I think the tide has turned

No you don’t have to accept it. You have to understand we don’t have enough power yet to fully stop it and it’s important to control getting elected in a system that doesn’t look kindly to long terms of power.

You still have to get low propensity voters out to vote. They love the slogans and believe it’s right but only one man in history has gotten those voters to mobilize. I hope that changes.

Yes he doesn’t “care” enough because we are trending towards a booming economy and a hold on the midterms. The biggest fights are being flight rights now and he is doing things you swore he wouldn’t do.

We still have to transition to 26/28 because 2030 is when we get the seat count realignment form a fraudulent census.

I still think DeSantis was the best chance at righting the ship. But the cost of getting to the place in the timeline where he could have done that was that Trump still held sway. And the cost of that happening is probably going to keep DeSantis from being able to right the ship in the future.

My only hope for this country is that it breaks cleanly enough that most federal powers are returned to the states. To get there, elites have to decide they would prefer the easier, lesser power of states than the more difficult and currently greater power of the whole. If that doesn’t happen this will all end very badly.
 
I’d love a coherent answer as to why Trump saying he’d veto a spending bill that includes $5 billion in refugee welfare spending (which is like a 90-10 issue among normies) would somehow jeopardize the midterms and 2028

Because the left still controls the a lot of the media narrative? Elections are about energizing f your base and deenergizing the opposition.

The media is somehow going to convince independents that we must fund refugee welfare to the tune of $5 billion and THAT is going to be what tilts the election? They’re already hammering Trump daily on immigration, the economy, Greenland, and a host of other issues where his polling is underwater, but I’m supposed to believe that THIS issue would be the tipping point?

You think that’s the story? It’s about what else is in the bill that isn’t funded. That’s what is pushed. Of course the left isn’t going to focus on that one funding.

What else do you want trump to say about Somali fraud? This just continues to affirm my belief that it wouldn’t matter what Trump did you’d always make the bar higher to be “happy”.

He’s literally mocking their low IQs in press calls. Like wtf are you doing here?

It would be way more productive to defund the billions of dollars in fraudulent spending than it is to call them low IQ though. It’s another unforced error by Trump, plain and simple.

The system we have today is allowed because we have a president who goes along with it.

In Trump term 1 he famously said he would never sign an omnibus bill after the 1st one. He of course signed all of them that came afterward.

This is really a very easy and simple fix. "I wont sign this spending bill with this $5B for illegal immigrant childcare. Take it out and Ill sign it"

Its really that simple
