Second ('Third') Trump Presidency Thread

The ethics report predictably leaked and it wasn't exactly glowing.

This is best for everyone that Gaetz step aside. I'm sure there's plenty of attack dogs loyal to Trump's agenda that don't have Gaetz's baggage.

I dunno what thethe was referring to but last I checked Gaetz odds where 21% so seemed pretty predictive, no?

Fair enough, I was riffing on thethe’s analysis of that betting market, so perhaps I should have checked. But the actual point of looking too deep into changes in his betting odds as a positive sign for his chances is still valid.

So stupid that they can just release lies and get away with it. Our government ****ing sucks. Gaetz would have been a man absolutely amazing AG.

You did 2 years ago. Nothing has changed.

2 years ago and still today my instinct is to not trust the government and media.

But I've since seen the actual payments tied to Gaetz account. This stuff was brought up well before he was all that prominent. And his resigning his congress seat was the smoking gun for me to believe he wanted to hide the info

It’s quite funny to me that the only viable alternative to this theory is he resigned from his seat to “speed up the missing seat” only to withdraw his nomination because one day of lobbying failed. Pretty Big Loser Energy on display here if he wasn’t trying to avoid his ethics report being released.

Just because there wasn't enough evidence to prosecute, doesn't mean Gaetz is ethically or morally clean. There is strong evidence that he slept with a minor (either knowingly or unknowingly) and that he paid money to said minor, likely for that sex.

But regardless, I would like to know where the evidence is that Gaetz would have been an "absolutely amazing AG."

Thinking ahead for who might be a fit for AG. Is there a TV lawyer who supported Trump's campaign?
