He can follow his passion as a side project which is what most Americans do.

And we sometimes get bad advice from people. Next time maybe he won't listen to those giving DEI guidance.

I’m not weeping for the man, but it’s weird to place the blame at his feet. The US government told him they would help fund a program where he could work on exploring new territory in math, a thing that is 100% in the interest of the United States according to all the STEM education experts that weighed in on the H1-B debate. Yet one of the first things the government decided was a priority was cancelling an agreement that was already made with some of our STEM scholars. I’m sure he’ll find something else to do and I don’t think he has some inalienable right to do the type of math he wants. But it’s ****ing lame that rather than focus on controlling *future* spending by no longer offering these grants, instead we’re just backing out of agreements that we already made with US citizens to help with STEM education, a thing everybody agrees has value.

It’s just like the farmer I brought up that had their programs frozen *after purchasing the supplies they were supposed to be paid back for buying* and now are wondering if he’ll lose his farm. There are plenty of ways we can curb spending that don’t involve backing out of commitments we made to citizens. So I’m not sure why people are breaking out the tiny violins for the Americans that got the rug pulled on them.

Maybe he shouldn't have taken it to twitter. I don't feel the need to post my personal grievances everytime I have a setback in life. When you post things for public consumption you are opening yourself up to a lot of flak. He got bad advice about getting DEI grants. Learn and move forward.

lol, that is peak victim-blaming. He didn’t get bad advice, the owner of Twitter and the President of the United States told him to go **** himself for accepting a grant they think is wrong. I wouldn’t go to Twitter if I got laid off, but that might change if the person behind Twitter *and* the federal government cuts were gleefully celebrating the loss of my job.
 
If my options are

1. Keep everything status quo

2. Shut everything down, cause some disruptipn but root out a ton of bad **** in the process

Give me option 2 all day long. Because in our situation there was no option 3

If you get advice to go for a DEI grant it's bad advice. Telling him to learn and move on isn't victim blaming. It's a recipe on how to live your life.

He's clearly a smart kid. He should be able to figure it out.

That’s fine, but my objection is that we’re calling the person who had his job disappear on him a whining loser who should be apologizing to the public and claiming he should just feel happy he ever got anything at all. I think that’s a ****ed up way to look at what’s typically considered to be considered the negative side effects of these cuts. Just like I think the left shouldn’t be laughing at Trump voters hurt by a policy, I don’t think conservatives should laugh at a minority hurt by a policy.

I haven't read the whole thread. Is Sturg asking why Trump hasn't been arrested after his executive orders are struck down as unconstitutional or was that something that started and ended with Biden?

Our system is a complete joke. Democrats and globalists are getting very nervous.

Whats really a shame is that Lake was robbed in her election twice and she would have been a great fighter for what needs to be done in this country to get it finally fixed.

No I suggested that when the Supreme Court rules something to be unconstitutional, then that should lead to an impeachment of the responsible person for breaking the law

you told me how silly that was. so if and when the SC does that to Trump, I can not care as you didn't
