With all the money we have wasted through USAID, we likely could have paid to rebuild every single home lost in the LA fires and Hurricane Helene and still had billions left over.

But I can see the argument that sex change drugs and medical procedures in 3rd world countries are a better use of US tax payer money.

Shoot, with the money we have paid Ukraine we could rebuild every single home lost to natural disaster in 2024.

Ex coworker took a wfh job and we told her when she left it wasn’t good for her as she will literally not come out of the house for weeks -at least if she showed up to a job with friends it would be better long term for her

You do realize the majority of America's power comes from the dollar being the standard currency right? You know how that has happened right?

I'm not arguing we should continue to be the global ambassador, but if want America's economy to cheat code it's way to the top and stay there, the dollar being the standard is the best way. It's why China is pushing to get people away from it. It's why Oligarchs are pushing for Crypto, etc. they want to hurt the US's biggest weapon, the value of the dollar.

Zito, get real. 50 billion is a drop in the bucket globally.

China owns a ton of our debt. It's in their best interest for the US dollar to stay strong while also trying to strengthen their own.
