Egg prices down? That's news to me. Was at Walmart yesterday and all eggs were still over 6 dollars unless you bought bulk.
Sysco eggs are still over 100 per case.
Gas prices are still around 3 a gallon around here.
I'm a pragmatist that understands capitalism and free markets are by far the best systems available.
I also understand that at times you need a more nuanced approach as opposed to just screaming about PRINCIPLES.

So much free trade out there.
Seems to me that “America First” is a PRINCIPLE and its defenders are championing policies to uphold that PRINCIPLE, regardless of evidence of their effectiveness.
*Taking notes*
“Restrict trade more like China to be good at free market trade…”
Weirdly these countries with significantly higher tariff rates are not richer than the United States…

What if we didn’t do things like some of the very countries you think are ****holes.

*Allow China to dump all their trash goods on our country eliminating our own industry and making america poorer*
But its cool you subscribe to the Globalist viewpoint of cheap goods so that everyone on top gets more.
Yeah - Its the tariffs that do that and not the historical precedence.
This is like touting Californias GDP currently becuase of democrat policies.
Who in the actual **** do you think is going to get rich off domestic production? I swear to god MAGA could be convinced to seize the means of production if Trump gave it a snappy name like Americans First Economic or something.
Potato, tomato. Countries with those systems have those policies. Whether one causes the other or vice versa, it doesn’t read as a validation of the trade strategy.
