Second ('Third') Trump Presidency Thread

By reducing government employment and putting them back to private sector?

The private sector was certainly starving for the talent you’ve derided as universally beyond worthless for months. Recruiters are all saved… that is unless companies undergo budget cuts to reduce operational expenses to accommodate the increase in production costs due to tariffs and hold off on hiring.

Plenty of no talent people can work in private. Still better than worthless government jobs.

Admittedly I’ve become so accustomed to us blowing **** up in that general region for political and financial gain for so long that it didn’t even really occur to me that they’re just casually admitting to it.

I almost hope they pass this just so it can be paused via injunction by a federal court judge.

Sorry, just one more on the group chat thing: let this serve as a casual reminder that “the most transparent Administration in history” cares so little for transparency that they’re carrying out acts of war in a way designed to subvert government transparency laws. If I were the Dems, I’d be screaming to get these guys in front of the Oversight Committee.

If this isn’t all a big hoax, this should merit Hegseth’s resignation. You simply cannot trust the man to be in charge of the nation’s defense if he’ll lie this boldly about something like this.

What were the war plans?

You know it almost certainly is real because they're talking about the liberal media and hilary's email servers. Soon you'll be told about some low level schmuck who will take the fall for this.

I was playing pickleball at my club today. Mind you, I'm in hardcore (R) territory. THREE guys told me they rejected their vote for Trump because they, their wives, or their friends have been caught up in DOGE efforts.

I did my best to play devils advocate, but i do wonder where this mindset is at the national level. The people in DC were already D committed, but was surprised my people in Boerne were expressing regret

My guess is that the crowd that plays pickleball isn’t trumps stickiest electoral group either way. What people are thinking about in March of 2025 won’t impact how they vote in November 26/28

I’m still waiting to see what “war plans” were released?

I’m still wondering what was bad about the actual conversation.

The only question is why did waltz “accidentally” invite someone with a sketchy history of lying about his reporting. That’s the real question Trump needs to get answered.

That’s the *only* question? Not even why they were using Signal in the first place?

To have a secure chat where they can text each other? Seems pretty obvious - From what I've read it was already on their issued phones.

So yes, the only question is why a member of the Trump admin invited a reporter with a sketchy history of reporting.

Did you ever share those 'war plans'? How about how this was Hegseths fault?
