the answer is simple...we are a self-selected group with characteristics different from the countrymen we leave behind

why is it racist...we are racially the same as the countrymen we leave behind...the point is there is differentiation within races that are more important than the differences between races...if you could bring yourself to use that gigantic IQ of yours you would see it is the very opposite of racism

My super intelligence level of IQ notes that by racially ingrained characteristics you are very similar but differentiated by IQ levels.

So my position has always been to take the super intelligence levels and block everyone else becuase they don't actually improve us but simply take opportunities away from AMERICANS!

This also avoids the pesky cultural aspects that make life worse for OUR women.

Ehh. My house is closer to Zito’s number than yours and we take at least 3 week long vacation trips every year, with a few long weekends thrown in. It’s just about living within your means. We buy my wife a new car every few years but I have a 20 year old truck. If it needs a repair then I figure out how to repair it. If my oldest kids truck needs a repair I figure out how to do it. Most appliances are the same way. Stuff like that gets cheap if you’re willing to do it yourself and don’t need the new model every couple of years. People with little 1/3 acre lots and 15k gallon pools are paying others to maintain them and then complaining about not having money. Or they spend $10 on their own lunch and then $50-$100 to buy the family dinner instead of packing a lunch, cooking a dinner, saving $100, and eating less crap. Everyone chasing the latest $1500 or whatever it costs iPhone every year or two. I change our cell plan to someone giving away phones whenever we actually need them. Consumers are in much worse shape than the economy is.
 
I see people who I know don’t have $100k year incomes in school pickup lines driving $80k trucks. I sure hope their house is paid for. It reminds me of new leased Escalades in the projects or souped up muscle cars in the trailer park. The stupidity and irresponsibility of large swaths of our country are hard to overestimate.

Agree with this - Should have caveated for location adjustment. Not cheap around my parts.

The biggest money savers are making your own food and as you noted being somewhat handy.

That just doesn't exist nowadays.

The practical answer is “whoever funds them.” Whether that person will ever be traced through a long line of money laundering, government officials, NGOs, charities, or whatever is questionable. We can’t get half the country to understand or admit that depositing money into an account that’s used to pay for something is helping fund that thing, even if the person making the deposit says “don’t pay for that thing.”

The answer to this question always seems to be that it’s the fault of the U.S. So they naturally want to come to the U.S.

My jaw (tee hee) hits the floor when reasonable people can't admit such a basic reality that Antifa exists, is well organized/funded and poses an existential threat to our country.
 
I’m not certain that it does actually exist as a separate entity from whatever the fashionable riot group of the season is that always exists. I remember during the first Trump presidency, someone on Twitter had a long thread where they went to several leftist protests all across the country and photographed many of the same people getting off buses and then participating at several of the protests. Some of the outfits they wore were even the same. Whether it’s an Antifa, BLM, NAMBLA, anti-ICE, ACAB, Pride, abortion, Occupy, or whatever other kind of protest that pays people to be there and then peacefully turns into a riot, the goal is the same: the destruction of Western civilization. I think it’s a reasonable assumption that the people footing the bill are also the same. Those riots are dangerous and expensive, so I think an investigation into whether someone is essentially paying people to scream ‘fire!’ in a crowded theater is warranted.
