Yep. What's the updated figure on that? According to Cots were at 72 million pre-arbitration and Flowers signings. This does not include the minimums we will pay for some of our younger players. If we can unload Markakis with his entire contract (11mil has to look like a bargain for a lot of teams right now) would we have room for, gulp, a bigger free agent signing?

Eh, if they win a WS in the next 3 years (their window), Greinke will be 35-36 by then, Miller has 3 years of control left, etc.

I will say this about the dbacks, folks are ragging on them but they are a legit WS contender now and the next couple years. So I can see why they did it.
