Some Red State/Blue State Indicia

i said it would be consequential like 1932...we'll see...January 6 doesn't hurt...it helped open some eyes

I'm certain you won't admit how surprised you were at Trump and GOPs level of support in this election. I'm quite confident GOP will not only gain in Congress like they did in 2020, but easily win majority in both houses

I WAS surprised at the turnout that he generated from his supporters. And participatory democracy is high enough on my list of priorities that I don't support any measures to make it more difficult for them to vote in future elections. I'd rather take my chances on trying to make them see the light.

I get things wrong all the time. I adjust and recallibrate... self reflect and critically think. Try it some time

You literally flipped out when i asked a question after glancing at a graph while in line at the grocery store lol

You are far from the rational individual you want to believe you are lol

Cause nyc is so radical, people have been leaving in in droves!!!!

:checks notes:

1980 nyc population: 7,071,639

2020 nyc population: 8,700,000

Tampa 1980: 1.362 million
Tampa 2020: 2.877 million

Miami 1980: 3.122 million
Miami 2020: 6.122 million

Orlando 1980: 583k
Orlando 2020: 1.964 million

Percentage of urban population in US 1980: 73.74
Percentage of urban population in US 2019: 82.46

So NYC has grown roughly an average amount in that time, but the FL metro areas have grown explosively.

Wait, goldy was using city population and I was looking at metro. That changes it a bit.

NYC metro 1980: 15.601 million
NYC metro 2020: 18.804 million

And I also didn't account for total US population growth since 1980, and I don't care enough to do so. Year to year growth can be seen at https://www.macrotrends.net/cities/23083/new-york-city/population

Looking at those numbers, the only major cities to show population decline in any recent years are NYC, Chicago, LA, and Detroit.

The people who don’t think there is a major issue in NYC are ones that don’t live there.

This is how we maintain standards in NY. Ship the riffraff to Florida. When we do that the average IQ, the average education level, the average income rises in both states. Win-win. I've lived in both Florida and NY. Trust me on this one.
