1) The hospital called the police to accuse Brittany Watts of a possible crime;
2) Police chose to file charges;
3) The grand jury only dropped charges because there's no Ohio
law requiring miscarriage remains to be buried or cremated.

And if you don’t think Ohio lawmakers will now pass
a law dictating how women must handle their
miscarriages to avoid criminal prosecution,
you’re not paying attention.
