Do you know how far a fire can spread in 70 MPH wind?
I know you're a city boy through and through. I used to be that way. WE're not allowed to burn if wind is more than 40 MPH becaus eof how fast it can spread. ANd if it's dry, they won't issue burn permits.

Sure if you had unlimited water you could deal with this. But that isn't the reality in a desert like environment. If they had unlimited water, they'd be more like the American South East.
Stop acting like you know what you're talking about, you're making **** up.
Heavy winds spread fire really fast, much faster than firefighters can deal with it. Infact what they would have been better doing is making fire breaks by actively destroying people's houses to stop fires from spreading creating basically a fire break of destroyed wet houses.

What changed is we built permanent structures where they shouldn’t. But if you do, (see Florida) the ln you have to put some preventative measures in place or else deal with the consequences

It’s worth questioning if we’re doing enough to be proactive on fires. If money was reallocated from fire departments to police departments, I’m open to asking tough questions on why. If there were brush clearing efforts that actually could help, I’m open to implementing them. But you don’t have to look very hard to see that a natural disaster is just being politicized because it’s California. A straight male fire chief wouldn’t have been able to contain this either, and the mayor being in town wouldn’t have solved the issue. This would just be like me blaming Florida’s immigration policies or New College trustees for a hurricane.

Sure and more money would help people too. But we don't live in Faerie tales. We don't have unlimited amounts of what we need all the time. LA is experiencing insane once in a lifetime winds, you're deluded if you think firefighters with more water does that much other than maybe slow it down for a limited time. 50+ MPH winds spreads fire like crazy. Again you're showing your city boy.
But the shortage of water is an issue completely of their own doing. I know you want to avoid that truth but their own stated policies speak otherwise.

It's not like wild fires are some unknown threat in California. But the incompetence and malice in both preparedness and the response has been staggering.
1. Woke policies wasted 2 years of record rainfall. Now they have water shortages (ESG!)
2. Woke policies prevented controlled Forrest fires and fire management (climate change!)
3. Woke policies ran off insurance companies to cover these situations (price gouging!).
4. Woke policies result in hundreds of firemen being forced out ( covid!)
Now we have the fires... and the lesbian fire chief cluelessly decries that they don't have enough water in the hydrants or firefighters to respond. And the state doesn't have enough money in the insurance fund to cover the damage. Now Florida and Texas citizens will be forced to bail out the rich people who lost their homes
I BEG YOU to stop making excuses for these losers and start demanding some accountability for failure
The excuses have to continue or else their whole worldview that they based their everyday decision making on is revealed to be a lie. Its hard to come to that realization.
